It was the right call, Wilder was a dead man walking.

In Feb of 1995, it was estimated that "approximately 500 boxers have died in the ring or as a result of boxing since the Marquess of Queensberry Rules were introduced in 1884."

Twenty two boxers died in 1953 alone. I remember "Boom Boom" Mancini vs Kim Duk-koo in 1982. Kim died four days after the fight. As a result of this, world championship fights were limited to 12 rounds. That was the last 15 rounder.

in 1995 I was at Gabriel Ruelas vs Jimmy Garcia on the under card of his brother's (Rafael Ruelas) lost title fight with Oscar De La Hoya at Caesars Palace.

I was a big time Joe Goossen and Ruelas brothers fan. I cheered on Gabe as he got the TKO only to be sick to my stomach when Jimmy died 13 days later, due to a blood clot on the brain.

Whilst at the fight, we were screaming for the ref in the 5th round to stop the fight!!! Dan Hardy style.. Breland has never come out and said he saved Wilder life. So that is fake news.

Eh. He was right & wrong. This isn't black or white to me looking at it from every angle.

For his own personal integrity he did what he felt was right & what he had to do in the moment I assume.

For his loyalty to Wilder's wishes, as goofy or ass backwards as they might be, he was wrong.

Mark no doubt knew this when he threw in the towel that it was something he felt he must do, but also something that was against the bosses wishes. And you can't have guys going against your words on your team. It's reallllllllly that fooking basic.

Very true, hence why you made a million excuses for Wilder getting the crap beaten out of him.
