Plant has all the tools to really frustrate Canelo like Lara did. It would not surprise me if Canelo tastes Canvas in that fight. Plant’s punches do damage due to the speed and accuracy.
Unproven Plant a better opponent than Charlo?

    GTOH!!!

Had a lot of trouble with Derevyanchenko? Lol, did you watch the fight with your eyes closed?

Even if Charlo did have trouble with Derevyanchenko (he didn't), Canelo went life and death with old man GGG TWICE and look what Chenko did to GGG.

You Canelo nut gobblers are so delusional smh!

It's unlikely Haymon allows Jermall to move to 168 before Mell is ready to move to 160.

What I see happening is that they wait for Mell and Spence to clean out their divisions and then they all move up at the same time.

It's all about controlling the divisions.

If Mall moves up before Mell is ready to move up, Haymon will lose the little control he has over the middleweight division.

The whole reason they had Chenko fight GGG in the first place was so that Chenko can take GGG's belt and clout and then they would have a unification between Chenko and Charlo and the winner would be the number 1 in the division.

Personally I think they should try and get GGG in the meantime while Charlo and Spence unify their divisions, and then they can all move up together.

Not gonna be easy though coz Pac is swerving Spence and the Spence vs Crawford fight is difficult to make, to say the least about it.

Jermell's situation is much easier. Texeira and top Tank are in between a rock and a hard place. It's Castano or Charlo, either way, Texeira is losing that belt, at least on paper.

If Top rank is smart they pay Castano step aside money and go straight for unification with Charlo, Charlo just has to promise he will defend against Castano if he wins, so does Texeira. That one is actually very easy to resolve.

If Jermall faces Benavidez @ 168, he can still keep that MW title, just like Tank still has his belt @ 135! If Jermell beats Castano, there's nothing left for him to prove @ 154! On top of that as WBO Champ, he could go straight to Andrade! We all know what happens if Jermall beats Benavidez! If he losses, he can go back to 160!

I agree that DAZN isn't doing well as a major promotional organization. I based my statement about Canelo on his current inactivity, and who he was planning on fighting before that fight was rejected by DAZN. The pound for pound list is based on your current activity, and who you are facing. Canelo hasn't fought in about a year, and his ranking is affected by his inactivity, if you don't defend your titles you'll get stripped of those titles. In my opinion Terrance Crawford, and Naoya Inoue are # 1, and # 2 on the pound for pound ratings. I also had GGG winning the two fights he had with Canelo, that second fight was a war which Canelo didn't want to go through again in a third fight. Which was part of the deal when he signed the mega contract with DAZN to begin with. As it stands he only fought 3 fights of a contracted 11, and none of those 3 fights were against GGG. Then for the fourth fight he demanded that he had to get paid his usual 35,000,000.00, for a fighter from Turkey who is basically unknown. You can't cherry pick your opponents like that when your getting paid that amount of money. I understand that Canelo still has die hard fans, and he's had a great career. That said there are a lot of fans who are just tired of all the arrogance that he's been displaying for the past few years. If he wants to be considered the # 1 pound for pound fighter in boxing, then he has to fight the best out there on a regular basis. You questioned my comment respectfully, and I respect you, and your opinion for that reason.

I can see this as a win all the way around. Golden Boy needs to develop their talent and was so focused on Canelo it hurt that. DAZN needs to work on their branding and price structure to survive, huge pay outs are hurting that. (They need to restructure with Golovkin as well. No return on investment without the third fight with Canelo.) Canelo is smart enough to run his career. He does not need either outlet.

If this works out maybe three separate en****** are all better off.

You might be right about that, only time, and his future decisions will be the determining factors.
