On top of that as WBO Champ, he could go straight to Andrade! We all know what happens if Jermall beats Benavidez! If he losses, he can go back to 160!
I get you, but Jermall doesn’t strike me as the type who can shift between divisions.

People are not made the same.

Just look how long it took for him to adapt to 160, his power, speed, and everything took a while to align to the weight class.

I don't think he can just shift through divisions like that unless he intends to pull the Canelo card and cherry pick vulnerable washed up champs (Kovalev) or fake champions (Rocky Fielding).

If he intends to fight Benevides I actually think he would need one or two tune up fights at 168 before he is ready.

In any case I doubt that fight is viable now as it has no meaning now that Benevides has lost his title.

One would think the status of three division champion would be part of the motivation to move up.

    • Good riddance.

Greedy fighters need to be on their own.
So they stop blaming everyone but themselves.

Totally disagree! First of all, a PPV with Charlo vs. Castano, and Charlo vs. Benavidez, IN TEXAS, would be HUGE! Secondly, Benavidez did not lose his title in the ring! Lastly, Canelo would be clowned if he didn't face the winner of Charlo vs. Benavidez!

F all that “unproven” jazz, that b’shyt runs the marathon. Plant by style is a much tougher fight. Once again emotional guy, see Lara....

You guys seem to forget that Boxing is q career just like any other.

Would you be willing to do the work of q director of your firm without getting the status and reward of beig a director?

Why would you want to face a champion level opponent at a higher weight without winning a title for beating him?

In Charlo's shoes would you move up for a guy who doesn't have his belt anymore?

You beat him and you're still a two division champ, and history remembers you as a two division champ instead of a three division champ.

Facing Plant would be the better option right now lets face it.

If reports are true, Canelo is facing Plant! Facing Benavidez a) Big PPV! b) Sets up Canelo vs. Plant Winner! Now if Canelo does not fight Plant, then Plant is the better option!

Oh okay I see. Makes sense then when you put it like that.

Why? Floyd regularly got 30-40m per fight and Canelo is bigger than him.

Making DAZN accountable for their contract is Greedy?

Boxing is absolutely brutal any fight could be your last nothing wrong with what Canelo did.

pull up a quote from me about what you just claimed.....I'll wait.
The only thing i remember saying about plant was that he was ducking Benavidez.
