Seems as if he will be fighting Caleb Plant who is a champion at super middle. Jermall is still a middleweight. The plant fight is a better fight I might add, if Canelo beats plant, TO ME, he has done something more impressive based on the style matchup alone. Plant has all the tools to really frustrate Canelo like Lara did. It would not surprise me if Canelo tastes Canvas in that fight. Plant’s punches do damage due to the speed and accuracy.Comment

Actually the opposite he was fighting the very best and they want him to fight Logan paul and masvidal, he fought number 1 ggg beat him number 2 Jacob's beat him, number 2 at the time Kovalev beat him after jumping up 2 weight classes, them wants number 1 callum smith and got denied so watch another sport if you have no clue what you are talking aboutComment

The parting of ways is probably best for Canelo and DAZN, and I have a feeling Golden Boy will be alright as well.
DAZN's deal with Canelo was going to be problematic because he's commanding $35 million a fight and fights twice a year. It doesn't make sense for a subscription based service unless it's adding alot more subscribers that continue to subscribe. They'd be better off using that money on more fighters to provide more fight cards.
Canelo can be a free agent and can retain more flexibility, decision-making and revenue. Whether or not this equates to more money overall, we will see. As it stands, I'm only aware of two other different content providers that have the ability to produce a PPV event: Top Rank/ESPN and PBC/Showtime. It's possible he does something with Matchroom as well but doubtful.
Golden Boy can focus more of it's attention on the fighters already in their stable and signing the next crop of prospects.Comment
