Given Floyd's resume, what's your motivation for making this post?

Glad you brought up his resume, because there is no one on there who stacks up against a prime Crawford. Not one elite at their best.

Crawford has more tools than Floyd imo, but Floyd was just better with what he had.

Floyd would have beat the dog s hit out of him at 35 and the legend of Crawford would have never even existed.

I’m HUGE on Crawford but the man isn’t the best WW nor has he even proved he’s number 2 for that matter if we’re honest.

It’s honestly kind of bizarre that he’s ranked even in the top 5 still.

Young Teofimo Lopez with a Loma win technically has a better resume with ONE win and is undisputed.

Love Bud but gotta call it for what it is. In a hot division, he has avoided the fire for years now. Everyone in that division has fought each other. Everyone

Maybe I should say offensively, Crawford has more tools. He has a better arsenal of punches, he has more power in either hand with better ability to deliver it from either stance.

Floyd, especially later in his career, was really a master of a few things in different variations. Much of what he did was predicated on dictating the tempo of the fight, which allowed him the time to set up. The instances where Floyd was pressed into a dog fight, he looked much more limited. So much of what he did was based on hitting his opponent at a time where it’s hard for them to counter. He baits guys and then hits them when they move onto the front foot.

Floyd never fought a prime opponent with Bud’s skills. Floyd is a better defensive fighter, but when we talk whole package, neither man has fought an elite level fighter at their best. I still don’t think Floyd would ever get in the ring with a prime Crawford. He certainly wouldn’t get in the ring with prime Mosley or Pac.

Bud is a better boxer than Corrales and Castillo. Corrales was weight drained and coming off bronchitis and Castillo was robbed, and still Bud would do better than either of them from 135-147, even 154.
