You are not getting it. I am asking you what if this happened to you? My brother was accused of **** once and he was never served in person. He received a letter in the mail to appear. It turns out that the actual person who was guilty of this had the same birthday and first and last name but different middle name. In the end my brother was let go obviously once the judge realized it was the wrong person.

If it happened to me - would show up and defend myself. And don’t know where u live, but here in the state of TX - u get served papers in person for civil summons even for child custody hearings. And never heard of someone getting a “summons” in the mail over a “****” allegation. If probable cause is found - there would b a warrant and arrest. As for the default judgement - it’s based on Broners income.

He probably did, who knows what else he has done and gotten away with it. My point was that false accusations are dangerous and increasing especially on college campuses.

I will not disagree that Broner is an idiot. My point was that because he did not show up the accuser was awarded $800,000.00 . That alone is crazy. It shows how messed up our system is.

Not in the least. They have a legal term for that. It’s called “default judgement.” While this was a civil case it’s akin to when you don’t show up to court for a criminal summons to appear. A warrant is issued and you get your a $$ tossed in jail until your hearing.
