Dillian Whyte has been told he will have to wait before he can get the chance to regain his number one spot in the heavyweight division. The former WBC interim heavyweight champion lost his position when he was knocked out by Alexander Povetkin back in August. Whyte, the former British heavyweight champion who had been mandatory for WBC world champion Tyson Fury going into the first fight with the Russian, was scheduled to meet Povetkin in a rematch on November 21.

Dang that's a bummer about Sasha. There are some good fights. I look forward to seeing CBS fight. Benn will have a good test with Formella.

That would be a great choice. Whoever they get I hope it's somebody who has stayed in shape and won't show up fat and gas out

I highly doubt any of them would take this fight on 3 weeks notice. Unless Ortiz cancels his fight this weekend. Hunter has taken fights on short notice but not sure he would do it on 3 weeks notice

Who opens an article with a first line like that? I mean ffs we live in an age of fake news and constant narratives from matchroom.Dillian Whyte never was and likely never will be in the number one heavyweight position.

He would but they're just going to reschedule this fight
