Better heavyweight ? Haye or Usyk

Personally i think haye had far more potential and was a better overall fighter at heavyweight

    More power,more elusive

You put usyk in with joshua and its a write off

You put a prime haye in with joshua and id say haye would have obliterated him

Clearly Haye........ Usyk gets hit more often and doesn't have the power. I really don't see this amazing boxer others seem to see in Usyk. Yes he's accurate, fast and has good stamina but that isn't enough to be successful at HW. He's going to get flattened when he fights the bigger punchers. Chisora was catching him with shots all night. When he fights a more skilled, faster and bigger puncher than Chisora which the top HW's are, it's lights out.

Haye is certainly more proven. He had that single punch power going for him and would be more dangerous for bigger guys. That being said I still think Usyk beats Haye prime vs prime at any weight.

Haye had concussive power to keep (most) opponents honest.

We saw what happened when a (PRIME) Chisora tried throwing some ****** loopy shots at Haye he got deposited in a heap on the canvas.

Haye also had the better handspeed.

Usyk does some things better though, he's a smarter fighter, more accurate with his shots and has better stamina.

Overall though I have to go with Haye, I think Usyk's lack of an equaliser is going to be his undoing, no great heavyweight has that much trouble with Chisora.

            Haye by a wide margin.

You can’t teach power and speed.

Haye put a younger Chisora to sleep. Usyk went life and death against a 40-yr old Chisora.

Compare Haye's performances to Uysk 'Haye had a better defense, offense and power' and he chose to fight Chisora head on.

People will try and mock Haye over his loss to Wladimir Kiltschko 'But even in that fight he showed a great defense, this was a peak Kiltschko who struggled to land on him consistently'.

David Haye was in my opinion, in terms of pure ability was both a better cruiser-weight and heavyweight.

Haye obliterated Monte Barrett, knocking him down 4-5 times in his first heavyweight fight 'Barrett was also a solid gate keeper, that was Haye's introduction and invasion into the heavyweight division'.

Usyk's invasion into the division has been timid, and underwhelming 'Compare the difference in how they both fought Chisora, Haye met force with force'. Only Whyte and Fury have met Chisora head on, as most fighters decide to box him. There was nothing stopping Haye from boxing and moving vs Chisora, but he chose to met the force head on.

Haye's boxing skills also need to be mentioned, he had to execute a near perfect fight vs Valuev and he did etc.

Note: This is actually Haye's first fight at heavyweight, as I believe just before he fought Enzo Maccarinelli? He moved up to Heavyweight, and then himself and Booth baited Frank Warren into making the Maccarinelli fight 'Playing as if they where struggling to make 200 pound limit again' etc.

It’s completely unfair to judge who is better at the moment.. Usyk hasn’t yet taken on the highest level opponents. Haye failed when he took on the very best let’s not forget
