IMO to me it’s kind of BS to say that Floyd pushed for the Moseley fight. They knew he was to big for lightweight so they might was well use that to their advantage and offer him a fight. In which case if he had actually accepted Floyd would have the opportunity to fight a very weight drained and weak fighter and if he turned it down they can say he ducked.

Just knowing how Floyd worked there is always things you have to look for because no matter who he’s always fought it was always done when he had some kind of advantage. Be it weight drained or he’d have a weight advantage or a fighter had seen better days.
No idea no one will ever know.

All we know is he was offered the fight.

Me personally I don’t blame him for not taking it because he had his sights set on Oscar.

Ironically the same case in 2006 just the other way around. But Mosley wasn’t interested in a Mayweather fight in 2006 either.

Here is the thing, there was no discussion ever about the fight happening. Mayweather was doing what the young fighter trying to make it to the top does, calling out the big names. That is not uncommon or anything. I am not saying Mosley ducked Floyd, because that is nonsense. Again, Floyd became champion at 130 in October of 1998 and then Mosley was a WW by September of 1999, and he had made the decision to move up a few months prior to that. Literally there was no legitimate chance of that fight happening.

But one thing is for sure, the guy I was responding to was talking completely out of his a$$ by saying Floyd ducked Mosley at 135. That never happened. Mosley didn't duck Floyd either, but Floyd was mentioning SSM/DLH for years. They were bigger cash cows then him at that point, especially DLH.
So in your opinion. Floyd never actually tried to truly make the fight happen. That’s what you are basically saying.

You need to me to repeat the question again?

You said he called him out in interviews in 1999.

        Show me.
Mosley gave it to you. Floyd has a long reputation of stalling fights and ducking opponents. Not Shane.

Ok so you don’t have an interview from 1999 where Mosley called out Mayweather, cool, glad that’s been established.

You should probably stop saying that there is one.

He didn’t call out anyone with any sincerity. If he had then he would have gotten those fights. Mosley never ducked anyone. Look at the path he took.

He called him out publicly on camera.

Not saying Mosley ducked him but to say he didn’t call him out is factually incorrect.

Shane said it, and I believe him. You can keep worshipping Floyd unconditionally, as you were.

I provided the interview when Shane spoke about how Floyd ducked him at 135. You are just being obtuse and playing dumb. Wallow in ignorance.

                      Easy work for Floyd.

He was so far above Salido and Lopez that it's not even funny.
