Something happened to him though and he just stopped progressing, he was turning into a really good boxer/puncher up until the the Martin fight, but after that he just stopped progressing, I am dissapointed he has retained Robert Mcracken as he just isn't an elite coach.
They have spent years now "trying to get his weight right" when clearly he just needs to be around 245, I mean that's obvious to anyone, his defence needed tightening and his jab needed improvement. But none of that's really happened and against Ruiz they just turned him into a runner.
Despite everything he could retire now and still be Britain's 3rd ever best heavyweight so it's not bad, I just think he's gone as far as he's going to go now and his second defeat isn't gonna be too far away, and I think after that it won't be too long till he calls it a day.
Hez loss to Ruiz derailed him being #1 in the division but a win against fury will have him at strong #1 without any argument.
At the moment, I will have him #2 because of the loss to Ruiz, otherwise he has a better resume than fury.
