I don't see how speaking out would sabotage their careers, but I won't pretend to know the politics or everything going on in the Ukraine either. Personally I'm nuetral on the topic. I like both as fighters but am not Ukrainian so what they do or don't do doesn't have a personal effect on me.
Ukrainians don't cheer Loma, Usyk?

Not really, there have been many murders (including of police) by people associated with ***. There are people in Philly right now being assaulted by those rioters because of their skin colour. I guess you news doesn't cover those stories though, but videos are videos.
Anyway that's all from me, don't want to make this thread a political debate but video evidence doesn't lie, the media does.Comment

Here's an interesting point of the Euromaidan, right after the "revolution", Russia initiated a UN resolution entitled "Combating glorification of ****sm, Neo-****sm and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," was approved by the U.N.'s human rights committee on Friday with 131 in favor, 3 against with 48 abstentions. You know who voted against this? The US, Ukraine and tiny Palau (lol). The reason why the US and Ukraine voted against this is because Ukraine is full of far right neo-**** types, the Right Sector and Bandarists played a big part in Euromadian. The Ukrainian revolution was just another neocon CIA op, ffs Neocon Victoria Nuland was handing out cookies during the demonstrations.
When the USSR fell, Bush promised Gorbechev not to expand NATO to Russian borders, but the US has continued encircling Russia, and Ukraine is part of this strategy, that's why ***** took a more aggressive stance.
This Euromaiden did **** all, Ukraine oligarchs got richer, while regular Ukrainians continued to migrate to look for work. All it did was put a US friendly government.
Same way China doesn't call their prison camps what they are, they call them education centres. They don't say they are genociding and removing innocent Uighur ******s, they say they are combating extremists, separationists and *********s.
FWIW I agree with Russia taking back Crimea, they had to stand up to western/NATO expansionism right at their doorstep. The problem is that optics play a large role in war, so it is to the benfit of both sides to label their enemy as evil.
Just take a look at the USA - some on the right dehumanise the entire left as radical, genocidal communists/marxists and some on the left dehumanise the entire right as radical, genocidal ****s.Comment

You bring up videos. Every cause has an effect. Videos of black people getting killed is exactly why these things are happening. No videos of unarmed black men getting killed and there’s no rebound violence.

Torn.
I couldn't see me not standing up for my countrymen, but, also, I appreciate those who keep politics out of boxing. Or at least detailed politics.
To be honest though, I don't see current events as the sole motivator for a Ukrainian being anti-Russian. Russian history is basically let's take over the land near us, oh no we've lost that land, boys we got power again let us take that land once more, and so on. I understand pro-Russian sentiment in nations that have been repeatedly bodied by Russia, at this point they are pretty Russian themselves. I also understand get yer yankee ass up off mah property just fine and in middle Eurasia region Russia plays the role of a Doodle.
So either way you cut it, I'm cool.
I wouldn't mind Usyk saying some such that amounts to "Russia is ****s" or some such, but, I'd hate for him to waste an interview spouting **** politicians tell him to
Mexico vs Puerto Rico goes back to Aztec vs Taino. It's cool and they do it right.
US vs UK banter is always fun as ****, has history, it's cool
Ukraine vs Russia could fit right in. Or, **** it, don't care.Comment

The man shot was armed with a knife and charged officers. Glad that you admitted to violence perpetrated by *** but you have justified it in your mind. I don't like subversive types like you that get caught in a trap when called out, so I won't waste any further time on you.
I’d be ignorant to say that there aren’t black people out there that are doing violent acts. But to conflate that with the *** movement is where you’re mistaken. If you want to understand the *** agenda you have to listen to their leaders not people who just wave their flag while they are clearly committing crime.
I can where a *** shirt and go do something and I will get placed into the movement because I had the shirt on.
Failure to listen to the messaging from the leaders in the movement is the reason why they’ve been labeled negatively in the first place.
There are people that want chaos and there a people that want change and equality. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to prevent people who don’t give a damn from entering those circles at the street level.
Just do your research and be open minded.Last edited by Punch on Tap; 10-28-2020, 10:09 AM.Comment
