Garcia v Campbell is a good start. I wonder whether Matchroom will jump from Sky straight away or keep their options open and wait until the DAZN subscribers reaches a certain threshold.
Matchroom and Sky’s contract is up for renewal next year, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Money talks, if DAZN put up
more money than Sky for the boxing budget, then Eddie will go there. Eddie also has shares in DAZN, which many don’t know. He’s not a major stakeholder but he’s definitely got investment in it.

I think AJ still has an exclusive contract with Sky though, but wouldn’t surprise me to see the rest of matchroom go to DAZN UK.

Either way, at the moment it seems we will only be getting Golden Boy cards in the UK.

Well there you go EDL/BF ultranationalists! Instead of trying to beg Americans to buy into the Blockbuster Video boxing app now you lot can have another excuse for a domestic piss up!

Damnit, I was hoping DAZN would fail.

Why the hell do they expect us to pay $20 a month and the UK only has to pay $2?

Interesting development. I wonder what type of revenue they will generate at those price points compared to the cost.

More importantly, I wonder how this impacts the level of content provided in my market.

Same reason why UK PPVs cost around $25 vs $75 US PPVs.

It'll be the American content mostly at silly times eg 4am the prices would go up if the get more content.

Don't see them keeping it at £2 for long but worth that for the Garcia-Campbell fight alone first month
