I would rather Agit Kabayel! Not impressed by Takam! Damn Big Baby! This could've been your shot!

I'd rather Robert Helenius the 'Nordic Nightmare' be given the nod to fight Tyson Fury on Dec 5. Similar in size to Wilder, Helenius is coming off his career best win against Adam Kownacki and wouldn't be a walk over...

Fury fights bums. And he will do so, as long as fight fans support him doing it. So stop supporting it, and it will stop

The Deontay Wilder situation is not over, no matter what people state here etc.
I am just explaining the current situation.

Kabayel is better choice between these two. Takam lost all bigger fights and he is past his prime. he did nothing to deserve another title shot.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 10-21-2020, 04:00 PM.

How come? Nobody knew about this rematch expiry date? It only became public knowledge a few weeks ago.

If you paid attention to what Arum said after the 2nd fight you would've known about the expiration date months ago. Both sides agreed that the trilogy would take place within 180 days of the 2nd fight because they were hoping to fight Joshua in December. Also, Top Rank already offered Wilder a date in October and December and he declined both offers, so Wilder and his team have zero legal recourse. Wilder's only options now are to retire or win a couple of fights impressively enough to stir up demand for the trilogy or a fight with Joshua

Rivas is a tiny average c grade heavyweight.
The only people that think otherwise are the people that want to make Whytes **** average resume look better.

Funny how those of you on here still have not figured out the business of boxing. Very simple, Arum just admitted that it is ESPN that wants to postpone the fight, ESPN represents Fury not Wilder, so if the fight does not happen who's at fault?
First let's get rid of some of the lies. The fight was NEVER postponed due to Wilder's surgery. The fight was originally scheduled for July 18, Wilder indicated after the surgery that he will begin training in mid May, for a 2 month training camp. The initial rescheduling was due to the pandemic, which pushed the fight out to October 3rd. When it became clear that venue attendance will still not be allowed in October, all parties involved (emphasis on all) agreed to move the fight to December 19, which was then changed again by ESPN (alleged by Arum) due to college football.
What you have hear is Arum trying to do one of two things. By claiming Fury will move on to fight someone else, Arum is hoping the WBC grants an interim tune up for Fury, with the agreement that he still fights Wilder after. Thereby pushing the fight out further in hopes of staging an event where Arum doesn't lose money. The 2nd thing, Arum is already putting pressure on ESPN by saying Fury's next fight might not even be on ESPN, which he hopes results in ESPN caving and letting the Wilder fight push through for December. Arum is hedging his bets. One thing is for sure, if Fury fights another opponent with out the WBC'S blessing, Fury will be stripped of the title, and based on the available facts, they would lose in court.
This is now a game of chicken. Wilder's team have already indicated that as far as they know the fight is continuing as scheduled, the WBC has not commented, neither has ESPN. Its worth noting that ESPN does not have the fight scheduled, they do have 16 college events on the schedule for December 2020 however, none have an actual date. It's also worth mentioning that 34 games have already been canceled/postponed this season, including 7 just last week.
So all we have is Arums words, and the vast majority of the things he says are misleading and self serving.
