I was one of the biggest Loma fans. If he moves back to 130, I won't watch him again.

And even if he beats Lopez by SD or close decision to become undisputed, it means nothing because he already lost to him. He either needs a dominant win over Lopez to prove he's better despite being 1-1 with him, or he needs two close wins over Lopez to compensate for 1 close loss.

And if he does overcome Lopez at 135, why would he move down considering that Lopez at 135 is probably a harder fight than the top 140 and 147 pounders. So if Loma can pull that off, then he should chase greater greatness at 140 and 147.

I mean, if he's as good as he performed before showing up as a different boxer yesterday. If he's not that good, then go back down to 130 or 126 and do your thing, I just won't be watching. That's not at all compelling. That's like having the end of Return of the Jedi be Luke Skywalker saying, "you know what, turns out, I'm not capable of redeeming my father, or destroying the emperor, after all, so I'm not even going to try. I'm going to let the emperor keep being the emperor, and go back to Tattooine and chase some bounty hunters. There are some pretty evil bounty hunters on Tattooine, and I could totally put a stop to those guys, just not the emperor."

Who wants to watch that movie? No one. And that movie is Lomachenko at 130 or 126 at this point in his career. If he wanted big fights at 126 or 130, then why didn't Top Rank make Loma vs Mikey when both were at 126 or 130?
Why should Loma fight guys that are 1-2 weight classes above him after rehydrating, guys that has a big size and reach advantage. Loma doesn't even rehydrate after weigh in's at 135, it's unheard of. I wanna see him at his best. Lopez will soon move up to 140, he is already struggling to make 135.

Then Loma never should have moved up to 135 only to fail so spectacularly and then immediately give up. Now that he started the challenge, he needs to complete it successfully otherwise he should just retire. He had a decent run... not really though... this was supposed to finally be the first step towards something really compelling and spectacular. As they said, Loma's father is always upping the difficulty for Loma, and this was supposed to be just the first level of Loma's run on hard mode.

Once you get a taste of playing a game on hard mode, there is very little satisfaction in doing well in the game on easy mode. Loma either needs to beat Lopez at 135, or better yet, 140 or 147, or IMO Loma should retire. I certainly won't watch any more of his fights at 130. The way I felt about Kovalev after watching his "fight" vs Canelo, I feel the same way about Lomachenko now. Heck, he can stay at 135 and beat everyone there, I still wouldn't trust him to change to mow my lawn after this. He's suspect to me now. Something about this was just off to me you know? Like I can't explain what, exactly, but deep down I felt something was off. Does that sound ******?

        Esp. to become unified.
Maybe those Olympic matches and 3 division champ matches were also fixed? Rigo and Walters quitting like they did was always su****ious. Now, even more so.

never invest yourself in another human being this much. boxer, sportsman, actor, musician, politician, relative, whatever NEVER! there are no heroes! nobody is that good. not even alexander the great, napoleon, ali, michael jordan. nobody ever. i am a fan of the exact same fighters as you are/were and it bothers me a little but you are hurt, destroyed inside.
it's not going to get any better. there will be no great fighter who will accept all (biggest) challenges and be undefeated for 15 years and then retire (so you can be a fan of his and be happy). if this is how much you'll be hurt in the future too (and it seems so), you are better off without boxing. or any sport for that matter. this is supposed to be fun and it's clearly not at all for you. it's an advice and i'm being honest. you are a grown man and you can do whatever you want. just think about what i wrote.

In the extremely unlikely event he has a rematch with Lopez. If he actually put on some pressure and did something in the first half of the fight, took some risks, even if it didn't work out and he got KO'd, how could you truly be a fan of someone and not respect them or watch them again if they actually tried their best and gave it their all? I can see being disappointed in this performance for a multitude of reasons, but if Lomachenko ran it back and left everything in the ring how could you not watch him again? Assuming he wouldn't retire etc.

... he took those risks in the second half and he was on the verge of being KOd in the 12th... Teo is a huge counter puncher and much more powerful than Loma...

Nice underlying conspiracy there. I had Loma by blowout but Lopez came to fight rip those belts from him. Loma quickly figured that the young lion didn't come to lay down but to conquer. It's not that deep, Loma could very well win a rematch but for now he was soundly beaten by Lopez.

Sounds like you’re too emotionally attached to a fighter!

Loma’s game plan wasn’t the best but give the guy some slack, he did come
On very strong late and tried to get Teo outta there!

                      Credit to
Loma’s chin cuz I thought he was gonna get KO’d and only was hurt by a bodyshot in the 12th!

Not sure why nobody wants to see a rematch, it wasn’t a blowout!

Anyone who gives Loma only 2 rounds just doesn’t know what they’re looking at, I have him 5 rounds!
