Even if Lopez wins there is a reckoning for what his father is doing, for using his son like some kind of tool in the garage to fix what he himself couldn't, it's coming.
Without a doubt there's going to be a reckoning, win, lose, or draw, this relationship is rotten to the core. The father will have greater regrets than the son, but the son has picked up some very negative traits from his dad. I was watching another boxing commentator on U-TUBE, and he was stating that this is all made up. That Top Rank was making up this false falling out between the Lopez clan, while portraying the Lomachenko clan as cool, calm, and collected. Stranger things have happened in life, but I don't agree with their assessment. When Teofimo called Lomachenko a conniving S.O.B., I believe he was thinking about his father, but flipped it onto his opponent.

I'm looking forward to Lomachenko demonstrating that there is more to boxing than punching hard. I've got Loma by 8

Excellent fighter. Up there p4p wise but I don't feel he has a great resume personally.

He's very skilled and has a unique style which I feel tends to get really over-analysed. I don't think its as complex as it appears I think his movement and slips especially are quite predictable that said I don't feel Lopez is the one too pull it off and its nothing to do with a lack of experience, age, competition. I simply don't think he has the tools for the job unless Lomachenko fights uncharacteristically ****** and stands in front of him or walks straight onto a right hand which is all I really feel Lopez has.

I have Lopez winning this fight by late stoppage. But then I go back and watch Lomo’s fights, opponents can’t catch him unless he gets over confident and slips on his fundamentals like he did against Linares. He was giving Linares the business in a few prior rounds and in the round before he got caught and dropped but he got over confident and didn’t realize Linares still had power at the point in the fight. He can’t make that same mistake against Lopez because he will get KO’ed.

Lomachenko is a lot better and loves to move to his right and get foot position to get behind you.
He sets it up a number of ways often with a slip into a pivot and often he'll step around you once he has created the angle. He has very good feet.

I think someone with a good left hook to cut the angle, stop him moving in the direction he wants will take away a lot of his game and stabilise him for the right hand.
You have to stabilise him. You can't just stand static and let him get off to the side. I felt that was more a factor in Linares success than it was his speed or length. I think those years sparring Manny really paid off despite him losing.

I don't feel Lopez has the variety to bring his moneypunch into it. He just faints a lot and its the same feint thrown at the same speed everytime, often leaves his jab out there to blind you & puts the right behind it. He'll on occasion explode with a lunging lead left hook but he doesn't hook off the jab, go to the body or do an awful lot at all but paw with the jab.
I think he's way too limited and probably isn't even a top 5 LW.
