Boxing news did quote that Loam will drop some of his purse money to make the fight happen, however it was later retract it. But Teo was definitely walking out from this fight at one point and Loma was discussing other potentials. So I see why people say that. The retraction did not get the same headlines.

I remember Arum mentioning Loma taking less and Lopez getting more to get this fight done after Teo whined about the pay. My memory fails me sometimes (not often) but it does happen.

He did, however, take a pay cut, in order to get the fight made.

Effectively, he took a bit less to give Lopez a bit more. Which is what everyone is saying.
