This is not the same Teofimo Lopez they analyzed that night. Hence I said in my last post that if all that is true it will show tonight, and I’m confident it wont.
He's not wiser and he's not more seasoned. Him crying off the honeymoon happened AFTER Nagatani.

It's just strange that the Commey fight - ONE fight - has everyone thinking this guy is now a world beater. WHY???

FFS it's Broner/Demarco and Bradley/Witter all over again

You simply don’t understand the argument I’ve been making the entire time. Your argument is a video of analysts and what THEY said they saw up until that point from Teofimo. I’m saying this isn’t the same Teofimo, and they also hadn’t seen enough of him to gauge or assess him properly.

      Man you're pretty ****ing dumb.

You're talking about **** you know nothing about and you haven't even SEEN Teofimo fight because if you did youd know he still does the exact same **** even through the Commey fight.

But you didn't know that because you dont watch. I pray that Teofimo isn't ****** enough to use a Philly shell against a southpaw but when he has super intellectual boxing minds like yourself in his corner...

      Omg lmfao

Just a quick PSA to the crew.

The title of the thread is still proper.

If you come at me like a child - I will treat you like a child.

But to date, I have not blocked anybody who can talk boxing straight up like a man. Even people I otherwise can't stand because they say ****** ish - at least they say the ****** ish like a grown man.

Listen to what people say before you respond to them next time.

You can't disregard people that way.

I also don't care that you enjoy Lopez's heart.

We need to focus on FACTS of the matter.

FACT: Lopez is a basket case that is not emotionally sound.

              FACT: Lomachenko's resume destroys Lopez's.

FACT: Nagatani showed us that Lopez lacks fundamentals and an ability to stop right hands AND his power might just be overrated when you can see the punches coming.

FACT: His knockout of Commey was similar to Sergio/Williams 2. Two guys throw at the same time, one doesn't see it coming and gets caught. But Williams was eating right hands the entire fight before that. (Sound familiar?)

FACT: Lopez has a puncher's chance and that is all he has.

Now, as a fan, if you want to say "you know, I understand. Loma is likely going to dominate this kid. But I'm rooting for him anyway". Great. I respect that. I cheer for underdogs too.

If you want to say " I respect Lopez for at least taking the risk that Crawford refuses to", great. I respect that too.

But when you come at me with "he's a champ doe!" as a reason he stands a chance, and I tell you that Wilder was a champ too and got knocked spark out, and you don't say, "you know, good point" - instead it's "yeah he lost, so what doe! BLOCKED!"

Come on man. I'm hitting you with facts. Set your emotions aside. FACTS. I know you love the guy. You can still love the guy. But let's be realistic here.

Your guy is an emotional wreck. He's talking to convince himself. We saw it with Ortiz against Floyd. It's the same thing.

Did you see him talking about his dad? His dad never moved, never nodded, never anything. It's not right between them. Dad is putting pressure on this guy because Dad was upset with Loma's team and triggered this. He's fighting Dad's battle. The titles are just a secondary.

He hasn't proven anything yet. Maybe he will with a lucky shot.

But UNTIL then, you need to accept the strong possibility based on the facts that this guy is made to quit in the ring. That's all.

And if that happens, he is very likely to retire, because his Dad won't forgive him, his ego won't let him forget and it'll be another Naseem Hamed situation. And that would be a shame because he does appear to be a solid prospect, and he SHOULD have fought someone at his level first - like a Ryan Garcia or otherwise, which would have been just as exciting and a very good test for him without overwhelming him.
So much for all your facts, told you Lopez was going to win expected a stoppage but will take the dominant Unanimous decision!

It pays off in the end when people self reflect though. Speed, power, boxing skills, size, reflexes, and most importantly extremely confident. He had all the tools to get it done, and I knew the flaws I saw within Loma when he fought Linares and Campbell.

Lopez is a different animal and I knew it would be enough to get the job done.

loma has been been getting hit too much lately. his defense isn't that of sweet pea or floyd. his defense is pulling back, spinning to the right. He doesn't slip an counter a lot. One thing I didn't see loma do this fight was pitty pat jabs. he truly was terrified of Lopez. Loma talked all that **** about teaching a lesson and all this time he was afraid. I saw it in his eyes when Lopez beat Comey. he really didn't want this fight

Right - expected a stoppage. Which didn't happen.

Lopez won, Loma had the wrong gameplan.

But what we shouldn't do is pretend like Lopez's defense is on point. It's not. He was eating WAY too many clean shots upstairs late in the fight, just like with Nagatani.

He'd better stay the HELL away from Ryan Garcia.

Lopez was just different, and Lopez knew it deep down that he was too much for Loma.

Really it was the size combined with everything else, but mainly size. Lopez puts everything together and has speed, size, and power behind it as well. I knew that would make the difference as the Campbell, Linares, and even in spots within the Pedraza fight I saw Loma look vulnerable to a guy who was on a different level then those opponents. Lopez was that person to me, and the nearest within striking distance.

It would've been Haney had the WBC not saved Loma, and possibly even Tank down the line.
