I’ll never look at a fighter like Lopez or Broner or even Ryan Garcia who hype themselves up and be mad. They get punched in the face for a living.

Dude go on BoxRec and look at the tens of thousands of fighters out there. What’s going to help you as a fighter get opportunities and chances?

What’s better for the sport is characters that draw attention and money. That then trickles down into the root of the sport.

Classius Clay was “hyped” before he stepped to Liston. Floyd was “not ready” when he stepped up to fight Hernandez. Boxing dies when casuals aren’t talking about boxing on the weekends. Period.

Also, Ill never call a boxer who hyped himself up overhyped. The only opinions that matter are what other FIGHTERS think of that particular fighter.
You can hype a fight without being a piece of ****. That's all I'm saying.

Chicanito wasn't at the very top of the game. Highly rated, not the pinnacle.

This is like Carnelo challenging Floyd. And what happened?

Tons of people saying Carnelo was green, he wasn't ready, it was too soon, etc.

It NEVER turns out good. Just stay in your lane, build up your name with fighters on your level first. THEN go for the big dogs.

I’m starting to think you don’t really know what your talking about. Yea, the fight against Nakatani was Lopez’s worst performance but still dominated Nakatani he just got hit a little more. He wasn’t able to knock him out, but that’s because Nakatani has a good chin, LOMA DOESN’T! As a matter of fact since Loma has been getting hit a lot since he’s been at 135, what’s he gonna do when Teo hits him with “one of those”? He’s gonna fold, you & I both know it.

I hear you bro but I really don’t see the big deal with Teo. I mean if you’re from NYC he’s a regular dude. Dudes talk ish like that who aren’t good at anything. I think you guys are exaggerating his trash talking...he’s literally like every other NY guy.

With that said, I’m picking Loma based on experience and IQ....but my heart is with Lopez.

I bet all you did was go and look at the score cards and pretended like you knew everything there was to know huh?

Damn bruh. Go and watch a few rounds and tell me what you honestly think! Lmaooo

P.S. Just watch the first 3 rounds. That's 10 minutes and while you're watching it you can think of a good come back. Its a win win!

Nah he was one of my favorite fighters round that time beating Juanma twice in hometown upsets but kinda passed the torch to Mikey after García dominated him!

It's boxing, one punch can change everything. If everything was so easy and predetermined, you would bet your house on the fight. Lopez is massive for the weight and is very explosive. Loma is the favorite obviously but Lopez can hurt Loma, but its also possible that Loma hurts Lopez and even schools him. I also dont see Lopez winning a decision, if it goes to the cards, Loma wins. Its a great exciting fight with no clear outcome.

Loma didn't do anything to me, he's a great fighter.

I'm pointing out that Lopez has legitimate boxing skills, great highly credible fighters have been in there sparring with him and have confirmed. He also clearly has good power and gets tremendous leverage on that hook and right hand.

Linares doesn't have the pop that Lopez has, and I don't think Linares is a better fighter/boxer then Lopez either. Maybe Linares experience is a factor but it isn't far fetched to say Lopez will do better then Linares.

I watched Linares lose to Campbell honestly, he didn't have the same gas tank toward the second half of the fight.

If Lopez conditioning is better he can get the job done, but we don't really have much to go off on that.
