I'm of the view that he is basically at the end of his career and even though he was just on the receiving end of one of the most monstrously humiliating beat downs of all time, he can't take too big a step down in quality of opponent.
Who should Wilder fight next?

I personally want to see the winner or loser of Whyte-Povetkin fight Wilder next. I thought previously that both would breeze through him, but they're probably 50/50 fights at this stage. Depends how badly Wilder's confidence is shot though. -

He's got zero defense and not much offense save power now sitting on a cracked chin.Comment

Tough choice. The winner of Povetkin/Whyte is not going to turn around and fight right after their rematch so you'd be looking at late spring of 2021. Ruiz still has that stinker of a rematch hanging over his head, Ruiz needs a win before becoming a viable Wilder opponent, Scott, Stiverne, and Brown are big thumbs down, Pulev won't want to fight anytime soon after the Joshua fight and if Pulev wins he's probably locked into a rematch clause with Joshua. In terms of availability and marketability I say Wallin, he had his tune up fight already and was Fury's toughest fight to date and it can be played off that winner deserves the Fury rematch so it makes sense.Comment

I love that idea, though anonymous2.0 makes a good point, would they be willing to fight again in a relatively short turnaround?Comment

Realistically, Charles Martin or Helenius
Then after that IF he beat one of them then maybe Ruiz which can still be a big and marketable fight even without a Belt or I agree with the Winner Of Povetkin vs Whyte would be even betterComment
