He should watch out for Whyte left jab which was successful in the first fight.
Mentally, Povetkin is on top as he goes into the rematch.

It should be a great fight! I can't wait.

Let's not forget Whyte turned down a title shot at Joshua & refused to go to Bulgaria to fight Pulev in a IBF final eliminator after Hearn lost the purse bid. Hughie Fury took the fight instead being the next ranked opponent. Povetkin got popped a second time shortly after he was reinstated before an eliminator with Stiverne. That was a fight he could have easily won (Stiverne was done)& put himself in the mandatory spot again for Wilder. Povetkin dropped the ball failing 2 drug tests & it cost him his chance at Wilder twice. Nobody to blame but himself.
When you see that Fury's 3rd best win is against Derek Chisora and that he is approaching the end of his career. You'd have to be some mad fan-boy to say he never avoided anyone. Fury pretty hasn't fought 90% of people in the current top-20 for a start.

Look at Derek Chisora's opponents - a guy at a similar stage in his career but Chisroa is ranked somewhere between 12-15 and you'll realize that Fury's opponents should be at least twice as good as those.

Whyte seems to be fighting a top-10 opponent every fight so why bring him up? He's not meant to be on Fury's level but yet he is fighting consistently higher opposition.

The top 3 of the WBC means nothing. Breazeale has only beat Molina. Breazeale is ranked outside the top 20 at the moment.

People need to realize that these are the fighters that Wilder and Fury avoid, so you know they are dangerous. Fighters like Breazeale weren't even in the top-10

Whyte did land twice as many punches as Povetkin so he was kind of dominating tho. But Povetkin was still in the fight - he always lands his big punches no matter what.
PEDvetkin won me some money thanks to everyone overlooking him.

I’m 46 in a week & am hardly a fan boy. I’ve been around here a long time & would say I am one of the more unbias posters on this site considering my favourite boxers were Frans Botha, Neven Pajkic, Andrew Golota & Johann Duhaupas... i just watch fights & really don’t have any favourites these days...

fanboy doesn't mean you are young. It means someone who is a fan of a boxer and is blind to any facts that may point to that boxer not being the best boxer ever.

There were a lot of Wilder fans on this site who suddenly went very quiet when he lost.... That's another reason fan boys suck - as soon as their guy loses they jump ship.

I was a Fury fan but as soon as I saw him fighting bums while claiming to be the best HW of the era - I got on his case. This is Fury's chance (now the Wilder fight is off) now to show us he is a legit fighter - so let's see who his next opponent is. Will it be a top-10 opponent or someone useless?

Same happened with Choco (Srisaket), Manny (Floyd), Golovkin (Carnelo), etc. But that's par for the course when you have these fighters that the networks keep hyping.

It's the exact reason that we need to see fighters tested - really tested - by fighters that are a threat to them. Because the fans that just leave the cut weren't really fans.

But the flip side is when you got guys like Carnelo and Spence who keep getting their hands raised against top tier opponents and winning belts over and over again, there's a group of people that just want to see them lose.

At 41, Povetkin is still a credible opponent and could give any top 5 problems especially within the first 5 rounds. Anyone who takes him to 7 and above knocks him out. To have drawn the much younger and hotblooded Michael Hunter amazed me though

It wasn't going to plan obviously.
He was eating jabs from White, and of course he didn't see the punches causing the knockdowns.
No, that's not what happened at all. That's not what he said to his trainers, and if you paid attention to the fight, you'd see he was setting up that uppercut from the opening bell.

Whyte walked into a trap and paid for it.

Probably spent half his time learning how to defend uppercuts finally then gonna get iced by a left hook or sneaky overhand right
