    • Why do people still put so much focus on what Floyd says? Do people genuinely believe Floyd all of a sudden ISN'T going to put himself over anyone else historically? He brands himself "TBE" just for that reason. That doesn't mean you have to BELIEVE him. Everyone's entitled to believe what they want. I personally feel as far as making money is concerned, no fighter comes close to Floyd career wise. If we're talking In Ring accomplishments he's absolutely an ATG but I don't think he's "THE BEST EVER".....but who really cares at the end of the day?

15-20 years from now fans will be saying this about the current fighter of their time. The sport is and will always be a revolving door.

I give Mayweather all the credit for getting the job done in the ring. Outside the ring however he was a master at creating a fight in his favor. He always had control of the contract and in turn had control to make the fight in his favor. His opponents did not make excuses or care much because either way they got paid.

Floyd was fought under Top Rank right until 2005 when he did the smart thing to leave that leach, Arum.
          He was 35-0.
He fought Zab and Baldomir in 2006 and then Oscar and Hatton in 2007.
Floyd moved up to 147 in 2006 so how the heck did he control the contract or anything in his favor?
In 2007, Oscar dictated the contract, the ring size, the gloves size, rehydration clause, the red and the judges. How did Floyd control anything.

Hatton challenges Floyd at 147 after ducking Floyd in 2005 when Floyd moved up to 140. Hatton and his trainer are on record about this so what exactly did Floyd control?

So in 2007 Floyd was 39-0. Are you saying for the next 11 fights Floyd controlled everything? It’s not true but That’s about 20% of all his fights.
Can you please list the 11 opponents that you think Floyd short-changed in anyway?
Pretty sure you’ll come up with Canelo and Marquez so I’ll just send you verifiable links to show you that it was both Canelo and Marquez that called out Floyd and both offered concessions.

A plodding-come-forward Duran beat SRL in his prime. Ray was 25 years old when he got beat by Duran.
In the rematch, SRL “ran” the whole fight. I put that in quotes because casuals like to call Floyd a runner but respect SRL for doing the exact same thing.

Never unified??? What belts do you reckon he was fighting for when he fought Cotto at 154?
Or after he beat Zab to capture the first title at 147 and then picked up a 2nd strap from Baldomir?

If unifying is measuring yard stick then I suppose Crawford has to be the GOAT because he unified the 140Ibs division?

What did you think of the Oscar-Sturm fight?
                Plus countless other controversial decisions?
Floyd righted those fights in the rematches.

Two, Oscar dictated the terms of the fight with Floyd. Floyd was the B side then. This is something only casuals seem not to know

If you think Duran was plodding come forward fighter, it tells us all we need to know about your boxing IQ.

Mayweather is an atg. The best? No and not top ten either.
