Remember how he destroyed Marco Antonio Barrera, theoretically superior to him in terms of technical skill.
Tszyu saw amateur tactics and speed for hundreds of fights in his amateur days. Why would Paqs amateur tactics even faze him? Just like Marquez, and how I previously stated just befrore that bout, Tszyu could easily slip his first shot to the outside and jam his right fist in to Paqs wide open face and chin. Going the distance against somebody means nothing. Being dropped by Phillips, a man who could fight but gets little recognition of that fact, can happen to any fighter. I just don't see Paqs amateurish style hampering Tszyu in the least bit. He's seen it how many times before in the amateurs? Tszyu knocks out Paq because he (Paq) fights just as an amateur does and Tszyu has seen that hundreds, if not, thousands of times before.............Rockin'

Personally I have Pac as favourite. But with Zoo's timing, distancing, accuracy and heavy hands, he has a good chance of landing some hard, hard punches.

He wouldn't be able to put Pac down the same way he put Zab down though. The best version of Zab Judah was an extremely good fighter, but he wasn't on Pac's level.
I agree with this assessment. I’d favor manny as well.

I would point out that young manny wasn’t as careless as zab, but he did leave him self open when going for the ko that would give Kostya chances to land.

I still like manny by late ko.

Both at their best at 140lbs, Tszyu.

Not to discredit Manny because he's an ATG, but when you analyse his record at 140lbs and above he fought mostly guys who were faded (Mosley, Hatton), at a catchweight (De La Hoya, Cotto), or simply not on the level of Tszyu.

Like Rockin' said, Tszyu was a very well schooled amateur who had experienced every style, did everything right and carried great natural power to boot. Regardless of Manny's success around that weight he was a natural featherweight.

At his best I would favour Tszyu to overcome Manny's speed with superior timing, solid fundamentals and naturally heavy hands.

          Interesting analysis.

The way I see it, if Phillips - much slower than Pacquiao - managed to hit Tszyu hard, lower his defences and knock him out, Pacquiao - lightning quick and possibly a harder puncher than Phillips - has a higher chance to hit him good and knock him out as well.

Still, it would have been a dream fight between the two.

Pac would ruin Tszyu. Ruin him.

Tszyu is a bit economical and conservative with his shots to beat pacman.

Floyd picks his shots and still gave manny a boxing lesson

Yes but floyd is in his own stratosphere.. kostya cannot do what he can.

Pac would overwhelm him and land 2-3 combos while Tszyu lands one.

                Bad matchup for Tszyu

I think Pacquiao would stop Tszyu late. Probably 9 or 10 rounds. Pacquiao's footwork, non stop attack, and speed would be too much for Tszyu. I think Tszyu was a bit too robotic for a style like Pacquaio's.

Tszyu is flat footed and easy to hit, Pacquiao destroys.
