Haymon and his followers might believe stealing is fine or that he didn’t at least in a diplomatic way, however, you can’t expect GBP to even entertain business there forward. The PBC kids know this but because we live in a world of racism they use that chip over the shoulder to fabricate that Canelo “ducked” Charlo. Just like the poster here The Big Dunn says Canelo ducked Jermall Charlo. Man at this point, as with the older GGG narrative, fans eventually tire of it... as long as the fighters fight then its all good.

Bernard and Oscar have lost before in fights, they don’t care so much to preserve Canelo’s resume and they’d bet Canelo to beat Jermall. The styles alone and technique show Canelo is the superior fighter. Can Charlo have moments? Sure! But the bet is on Canelo to hurt Jermall. Canelo can stagger that weight as we saw with Jacobs, Fielding, Kovalev. Casuals don’t see these things because they don’t hit heavy bags... there were many times when Canelo’s power punches would budge GGG off his feet when he shelled up. Just looked at the way Canelo hits the bag, it’s not unusual that it wouldn’t happen.

Charlo is very squared up. That fits perfect to Canelo’s style. I think he breaks down Jermall to the body and stops him late.
I mean Canelo is the current face of boxing and the current golden ticket. Everyone is trying to fight for a shot to fight him. So it could be said he is ducking the entire boxing world...........At least that is how haters like to think.

My take on Charlo vs Canelo is pretty much how you summed it up. Charlo's defense is piss poor. Almost as bad as Wilder. Charlo does not move his feet nor his head. He stands square in front of you making body shots perfect. If Canelo could out smart Ggg then he is going to smash Charlo's face. I may claim that Canelo's stamina is not as good as I would like it to be but Charlo's is worse. Charlo is used to being the bigger guy in the ring and on fight night he would be taller/longer than Canelo but Canelo does a tremendously good job with his size and reach. He has learned to master the Floyd bait technique and Charlo would fall for it in seconds leaving himself open for counters all night. Well maybe not all night he would eventually get KO'd.

    • this is a bad look for the "face" of boxing. first DAZN makes him sleep on a couch because of the UFC and now DAZN has him on the shelf for refusing to fight GGG .. smh.

this will never happen to TBE

I just get so sick and Goddamned tired of all the constant Canelo nuthugging and **** beating that goes on around here to the point where it starts getting annoying.

If Canelo is the very best and only fighter in the world that the sport has to offer then boxing is in a very sad state of affairs.

I mean you have a known juicer and a man who is famous for his constant gamesmanship when challenging aging and gate keeping fighters at higher weight classes; With these silly rehydration clauses as the new face of boxing.

Charlo would get decisioned pretty easily right now by Canelo. Similarly to jacobs without the slap punches he throws. Different level
I respectfully disagree. If Jermall decides to let his hands go enough by making it a firefight then it is best chance of defeating Canelo.

The reason why I say that is because outside of the sauce that Alvarez likes to use during his boxing diet called clenbuterol; Charlo is the much stronger and bigger man with more punching power too.

If Charlo decides to fight Canelo, by trading and exchanging punches toe to toe with him; Then he defeats Canelo by way of knockout. However, If Mall decides to box him then he loses.

You don't think Charlo would be better off keeping it long, working behind his jab?
Personally, I'd want to make sure Canelo can't use those hooks and body shots.

As long as Toney and RJJ did actual anabolic steroids in their post fight urine sample then by all means industry will always forgive Canelo whom did random blood and urine and had Clenbuterol 78 days away from his fight which is now waived by wADa themselves since his level was below the new threshold. . Canelo is the HNIC!

Yes but only partially because it has never worked in the past by keeping a safe distance from Canelo; In an attempt to land punches on the outside. Jermall Charlo does have a good jab though. So, perhaps it does have the potential of working to some degree.

At the same time though; You are going to have to square up and hit this man. Charlo's chin is good enough to do just that. He can't be too defensive and safety first by fighting Canelo from the outside.

However, it was only Floyd Money Mayweather who was successful in implementing that type of strategy because he possessed both the speed and skills in order to do so and was very successful at doing it.

I agree that a defensive performance won't get it done and I'm not expecting Charlo to became Erislandy Lara.

That said, I think he's better off setting up the straight right rather than getting into a straight up brawl.
Canelo has quicker hands and better upper body movement imho.

Be offensive while maintaining distance so you can get full power on that right hand.

James Toney yes; He did pop dirty for steroids also but not Roy Jones, Jr. His tests came back inconclusive and was never proven.

The Indiana State Athletic Commission did not have the lab technology to trace for any steroid use. However, I admit that his post fight lab work had shown elevated levels of testosterone though.

Did he juice; Perhaps? However, I don't know know because it was never proven. At the same time, I do concede that a reasonable person can deduce that he probably did juice but it can't be proven.

Also, as far as the HNIC is concerned; That distinction is exclusively reserved for the man in your avatar that Canelo Alvarez shall be signing with very soon!
