When I see 1 man jabs once kicking opponent to another side of the ring and that opponent answers with a power punch on the button which barely stumbles the first one I still gonna give the round to a smaller fighter who scored power punch.

Because boxing should score shots and not chins.

Derev shames these champions that don't take the toughest fights.

I do recall thinking GGG did poorly and Derevyanchenko overworked him by a mile when it came to hard, scoring blows. GGG as always threw and landed a ton of jabs. Worked for him on the scorecards here but doesn’t work for him vs Canelo. Really it should always be like that, fight goes to the guy who lands more power shots, telling blows, head snapping blows, in more rounds. He should get the win.

Must be heartbreaking when you land more power punches on your opponent for 11 rounds to 1, but your opponent gets the nod because he landed more jabs.
Don't agree at all. If the power punches don't hurt the opponent stop his forward progress, establish territorial superiority or force him to retreat then they are only as effective as a jab. The same thing applies to a jab. A jab is a legitimate punch. However in the Derevyanchenko fight Golovkin was visibly hurt on several occasions. I thought he lost that one for the reasons I mentioned but saying a jab is not a real punch is simply wrong IMO.

3 months month would have been too soon for some fans. Then we would have seen the “Charlo is fighting a tired fighter” posts...like I saw with Canelo-Kovalev, because the fight happened 3 months after Kovalev-Yarde, which was no where as grueling as GGG-Derevyanchenko.

I looked back to reread my post because I was wondering where I said the jab is not a real punch. I couldn’t find anything like that.

I did see that I said that if a fighter lands more telling blows, more power punches in more rounds than his opponent, then he should win the fight. A power punch is better than a jab and should be scored over a jab.

Derevyachenko, USYK and Loma make boxing proud. Huge fan of all 3 and hoping Derevyachenko pulls it off in convincing fashion.
I want Derevyanchenko to win because I like him as a fighter. I don’t know how Usyk makes boxing proud but I do also agree with Lomachenko, I like his resume and I like that he has fought so many good names at an early start of his career. His resume is going to end up having top fighters from top to bottom.

Since when?? Go tell Larry Holmes that.. He's won numerous fights with his jab. The jab is a legitimate punch and should be scored as one. Even the judges somewhat agree because by that definition Golovkin should have lost almost every round in the Canelo fights.
