Purse bids = Irrelevant to a fighter/promoter when big money TV deals are on the line.

Whether it was truly a duck or not, Stevenson signed a ccontract with SHO knowing full well that Kovalev had a fight scheduled already and that he would not be able to fight him if he was with HBO. That has killed all but a few fights in history, unfortunately.

He who signed first is the only one eligible to be considered the ducker. End of discussion.

Absolute sense, the reason nobody has is because he’s a fast light heavy and doesn’t take too many chances!

A fighter with a good read on his rhythm will catch on and catch him stepping in when he unloaded that same combination pattern!

Watch when it happens and I’ll be the one to tell you so!

he ducked everyone. he fought no one. his popularity and level of competition fell dramatically after signing with haymon. his end only came because arum forced a purse bid and had a fighter who was willing to go on pbc since pbc fighters dont travel. the super fight he had was against badaou jack who had only one fight at 175 and lost to browne and pascal after the fight

Hopkins avoided adonis, he chose to pursue the safer champions/title opportunities. Same thing with ward, stayed with hbo.

Kovalev ducked the purse bid, whoever does that, ducked the fight. Adonis fought several ranked contenders.

            There is no debate

He could do the same for Stevenson who was KOed a few times by guys who didn't punch nearly as hard or as often as Beterbiev. i'll pick the guy with 100% KO wins and zero losses.
Very possible. Stevenson could punch and we've seen Beterbiev get dropped.

Beterbiev beat Gvozdyk, a guy who is not a big puncher that put adonis in coma. Beterbiev with that power and solid chin would have done worse, unimaginable things to adonis. Beterbiev is not just a come forward guy. He is a smart boxer who imposes his will on his opponents.

Beterbiev would walk into left hands all night, going down at least once, until the ref mercifully stops it.
Stevenson was a ***** for ducking Kov so bad but I think he was super dangerous. Maybe have beaten Kov tbh.

And you're right about Beterbeiv vs Stevenson. Stevenson left hand was Hearns-like.
