But Lubin to me will be able to win the rounds where it is a chess match. He's a little sharper and has better skills. Charlo has a better chin and is more explosive. He can definitely get Lubin out of there again, but just saying if he doesn't, then I see Lubin winning the majority of the rounds. Harrison was out boxing and out fighting Charlo in spots of the rematch.

But before Lubin thinks about fighting Charlo, he needs to be in with someone like Harrison who is very skilled and will come to win unlike Gausha.
You’re right. I don’t see the same type of fight happening again as both fighters have added wrinkles to their games. However, Charlo can still play chess and we saw that in spots in both Harrison fights. I like Lubin a lot and he’s extremely talented but I think Mell having over a decade of experience will show. Effective pressure, ring generalship, and a tight guard will have Lubin in quicksand. I think his best bet is to actually return to his former style but just start off revving the engine instead of full throttle. Fight fire with fire against Charlo. We saw how patient Charlo can be in that second Harrison fight after an early knockdown. Similar fight will happen except Harrison’s confidence was on 1000 going in...Lubins will be on 75

Lubin will have to open it up more against Charlo but I think he needs a mixture of his new patient style as well as his early career dynamic offensive style. I don't sense an early KO or stoppage this time around and I think Charlo tries to come out firing early on but will then be patient himself if he's not able to get Lubin out of there. I still say Lubin needs to face someone like Harrison first who is very skilled himself and a former champ. Gausha will just always stay in gear 1 and will just try to play spoiler. I mean still a good win for Lubin but he needs another look before the Charlo rematch or against Rosario, should he win.

I didn't like the shot Lubin got hurt by as he lost focus for a second in the clinch and he ate some shots backing straight out. Cunningham is right, he needs to stay focused for the entire 36 minutes and can't get bored in there.

Man I was expecting a much different Lubin than we saw. I know Terrell is a good defensive counter puncher but I was thinking that Lubin would go on and over power him. I'm not 100% sold as Kevin Cunningham as his trainer. I also believe that another fight prior to the WBC would do him some justice. Just one mans opinion.

Agreed. Getting in there with a guy like Harrison will be a great litmus test. Maybe even a J. Hurd who will bring his new fighting style will be good to see.

I think Cunningham would be great for him if he was his coach before the devastating loss. The problem is that Lubin brought him in after and that’s what their training style is built off of. It’s built off the idea that Lubin needed to be repaired and less “reckless.” I think Lubin is going through a sort of fighters identity crisis. He’s fighting differently, not because it’s better for him, but because it’s less likely for him to duplicate that type of loss again.

I have seen it, and I agree!

He's not ready for former champs who just lost their belts.
Probably needs one more guy like Justin DeLoach maybe.

HondaMonkey, this is very true. Coming from a fellow Red Team 1000RR-R man
