If this dude at 50 can weigh in at 160, even 168, that says a lot about how undersized he was in his prime.
I agree with everything you said.

Personally I could’ve done without the complaining though.

That Byrd fought at HW, became champ made a great career for himself I’m proud of Byrd, huge fan and well documented here.

Even though Byrd cost me thousands in a 6-1 payout when they robbed Fres Oquendo!

Huge fan of Byrd. I could do without the admission of depression and battles with mental health.

That’s a given, like you said for any warrior. Byrd is 100% true warrior. Completely agree.

Yep. Hips shouldn´t be a problem, but those shoulders would fall apart. Unless he plans to throw no punches at all? Another Safety Pin is not what the division needs right now. - Oh, MW? I guess every division can have one old man who refuses to give or take punches.

        I always liked Chris Byrd

If he wants to comeback then so what fck it

Im serious I'd love to see those HW greats of yesteryear fight each other at their 50s

Tyson, holyfield, Byrd, bring Lewis and bowe back from retirement, Tua too and set up a super 6 like tournament

Would sell better than Canelo fights and would be fun as hell to watch

It seems that marijuana is a whole lot more dangerous than we ever thought.

Maybe they can make a over 50 year old division the way these guys are coming back well saying they want to come back. I always looked at the fight game as a younger mans sport. A few did return but few and far between. Strange times now. I am sure it has nothing to do with money or oportunity. Beings the money is bigger now in comparison and with the way boxing is headed they are looking for any angel to draw fans back in to watch so throw out old names and memories. But I do not know what is in his head well THC for sure, funny used to get 10-20 in Texas for refer now its bragging rights and a miricle drug. Funny it is the only natural substance people are attracted to for depression, pain long list of reasons for THC. but what do I know about refer ? Nothing maybe it is his miricle drug his ah. So sick of retired fighters getting in shape and saying I missed out, it was not fair, I should have got a better deal. Slow news day in boxing ? I dont know. Both shoulders damn then hips and the foot was what really bothered him? Smoke on smoke on..............

              100%.

All the people mocking and trying to discourage older fighters from returning are de****able human beings imo. Takes a special kind of ******* to try and talk another man down from what he wants to achieve.

Agree, if these older fighters are medicially cleared than they should be able to fight, it is their life.

Everyone loves a comeback story and these fighters just want one more chance to redeem themselves.
You only live once and they would rather try and fail than live with themselves without doing what makes them happy.
Good luck Chris, God bless and careful matchmaking.

It's one thing to want a friendly exhibition but wanting to fight..... I strongly disagree regardless of their passion

A bad idea at his age. Journeyman Sean George flattened him when he dropped down to LHW. The punches just come too fast after a decade at HW. Byrd had a solid career & beat some good HWs. Too bad he was a high risk low reward fighter. I will never forget Byrd vs Golota. Before the fight Byrd was *****ing to Don King that he was only getting $400000 & Golota was getting 4 million & he was the defending champion... Don King replied “how many of the 15000 Poles in the stands are here to see you?”
