Good for him, looks Incredible BUT I do not need to see Byrd trying to fight any of these young fighters

I think Boxing Needs a Senior Circuit, let the older guys who still want to fight continue to fight and make money but only in 4-6 round fights and probably should have them in Head Gear. I seen even Michael Nunn is still fighting

So if they want to keep fighting do it the right way. However, I do NOT want to see these guys in with any of the young current fighters

I always appreciated Byrd's style/boxing IQ, especially because it pissed Merchant off so much. That being said, over a decade ago when he dropped from 210-215lbs to light-heavy, his reflexes and punch resistance were GONE. Against middle-weight speed, at age 50, the differences between what he used to be, and what he enters the ring as, would be even more pronounced.

Would green k if I could.

I’ve been thinking this and have said it a few times. He was a sharp fighter and is still a sharp talker. I’ve seen him break down fights on YouTube and I think he would do a great job.

The sport needs more honest, good men like him.

Whoa, it's like depression is some sort of disorder of the brain that can affect anyone regardless of their economic status.

Yeah, how dare those people not want to be traumatized and watch an old man be beaten to death in the ring.

Real pieces of shxt, those people

As long as his skills and chin havent eroded too much, he could give Canelo a run for his money at middleweight

Damn, Michael Nunn got the win in a kickboxing bout. At age 52!

                  Respect.

Depression and anxiety effect lots of people. But they seem to effect everyone in the public eye now. Maybe Byrd is genuine, but i dont believe all these celebrities who are telling us they had a gun in their hand about to end it all years ago but said nothing at the time. It's still a different experience suffering from these issues when you're well off, have a good life and good people around you, as opposed to alone, on some crime infested estate with no one to care about you and no money to even get any help. It really is true that theres always someone worse off. In the case of alot of these people it's hundreds and thousands of people.

Did this guy not ever see himself fight? In his prime, he wasn't good. Why does getting in the ring at 50 seem like a good idea to Byrd? Is he broke?
