I wouldn’t dare bet on this fight, Beterbiev is just insanely strong and very physical but Smith is arguably just as strong an can be physical as well!

Who lands the biggest shot and who can take who’s power wins it?

Thing is for me, Callum Johnson dropped an hurt Artur badly and we all know Johnson’s power is nowhere in the class of Smiths who seems to be improving!

    Hopefully we get it!
Well said! Make this one happen

Well then Bob's matchmaker is an idiot because Beterbiev can actually box if he needs to. But my guessing is he won't even need to! If this fight ever happens, it will look like Beterbiev vs Callum Johnson.

Lol I’ll give Artur credit he proved against Johnson an Gvozdyk that he has some nice subtle nuances to his game than just coming forward and throwing punches downstairs an upstairs!

The thing is that both Johnson and Gvozdyk don’t have the firepower of Smith, and Smith has seemed to improve since his lost to Bivol where he just came forward throwing haymakers with no set up’s!

Against Alvarez whether he was shot or not, he actually for the first time was setting up his punches, working the body and shooting the jab!

I’ve said it before if Smith can actually have a good jab he would be extremely hard to beat due to his insane reach and fight ending power, Artur will not do what he did to Johnson to Smith, two totally different fighters!

I'd expect Beterbiev to pulverize Smith and ultimately stop him but if Joe lands clean like Callum Johnson did, I'm not sure Beterbiev would survive.
Good points. And yes, he defeated Hart more clearly than I did remember.

Not sure about him beating Beterbiev, I would favor Beterbiev, but I have liked Joe since his first round destruction of Fonfara, I knew he was going to beat Bhop, Bhop was beat easy by Kov and I knew Joe was super hungry.
Have made money on him as a dog 3 times now (Bhop, Jesse Hart for whatever reason he was dog and last fight), so it will be hard to bet against, if he is a +500 type of dog I would probably just bet him instead or a prop bet.
Joe has a chin, punch, heart and can box, solid fighter.
Could be a fight of the year type of fight, both are tough guys.

I noticed that too. His offensive game looked more developed. He actually set punches up. Alvarez may have been shopworn but Smith was still doing things I hadn't seen him do in the past (even in wins).

I still see Smith as an underdog but Beterbiev would have to respect Joe's power and his ability to deliver it. The thing with Smith is that we know he's tough as nails and he carries power late (Bivol) and when he's hurt (Fonfara).

I imagine Artur would try to break him down carefully and methodically and would respect him more than he did Johnson or Gvozdyk.

It was a brutal end for B-Hop. I was a fan of Fonfara and pulling for him heavy in that fight against Smith. I will never forget the look on Fonfara's face when he got drilled going in for the finish. It looked like his brain was scrambled.
