Erik Morales vs Juan Manuel Marquez

Who would win between these two mexican warriors ?

I would take Morales by UD. I dont think JMM can handle Morales heart, aggression and will. Morales could take JMM's best , I dont think JMM could take Morales best if either had to dig really deep.

    It's a shame these 2 never fought.

I honestly don't know if i can even pick. I've followed Marquez since the Great Western Fourm days, and I started following Morales when Barrera left boxing and first i seen Morales was on the undercard of Chavez v. Delahoya 1. The new Marquez looks awsome, the john fight opened his eyes and has really picked up his work rate. I think this Marquez is better then the Marquez that fought Pacquiao. I think it would be a war. But if its the Marquez before the John fight then I see Morales taking the fight, but Marquez after the John fight its a close fight favoring Morales.

Marquez could have made great fights with Morales or Barrera. But the Norwood fight set him back awhile. And it wasn't untill the John fight that Marquez decided to pick up his work-rate and a Terdsak tko is the result of his high work-rate.

I'd favor Morales, but its be one hell of a fight.

My very first Morales fight that i saw was against Angel Chacon in the DLH/Quartey undercard. He put the guy to sleep with a right hand in the 2nd, literally to sleep. I think they needed smelling salt to wake him up.

I forgot JMM Fought Norwood. That was a tough loss. He could have been right up there with MAB and EM. He's technically better than MAB IMO. He was like the forgotten third member of the trio of the best mexican featherweights back in the day.

I remember watching Marquez nearly decapitate Robbie Peden round after round and i was like holy **** this guy is good.

I miss the Barrera of old. Barrera and Marquez were from the Great Western Fourm era of the early 90's. Barrera used to be a killer, nothing more, just a plain killer! He used to have a baddass left hook to the body that ended fights with just that one punch to the liver. Then he started boxing and stuff. He's still a great fighter no doubt, but having seen him be a killer then to boxing its not the same Barrera. But in the Juarez fight and the Morales fight he'd put some combos together that was the Barrera of old especially the 1st Morales fight, that was Barrea vintage.

The Marquez v.Pedan fight was a crazy one, that was were Pedan was going back to his corner choking on his own throw-up that was all blood and he kept choking and throwing-up on his blood it was crazy fight where Pedan corner had to stop the fight.

I remember the Angel Chacon fight, and it was a crazy ko. Hes had a few of those before he step up to the really top fighters.
