Lots of fun fights available with the PBC to keep Canelo busy for a three years.

    Canelo vs. Jermell Charlo
    Canelo vs. Errol Spence
    Canelo vs. Caleb Plant
    Canelo vs. Chris Eubank Jr.
    Canelo vs. Jean Pascal
    Canelo vs. Badou Jack

It could all begin if Schaefer wins the purse bid for Canelo-Yildirim.
Also, don't forget about David Benavidez.

Canelo promotions will be major and he won’t have a promoter!

That also means we get to see Canelo vs Plant, Canelo vs Jermall Charlo and Canelo vs etc

Schaefer doesn’t work with pbc anymore. Joyce Nonito Balderas Yoka etc no longer with ringstar. Ringstar is gone

most here would look at the whole thing and condemn anyone affiliated with haymon...most of his fighters, even now, are hated on a daily basis because of who haymon is and his affiliation with floyd

oscar agreed to part with all the haymon fighters and was compensated.......but in my view things were going well with golden boy at the time(cant really be disputed) and schaffer did what he had to do in order to keep a good relationship with haymon....haymon being a guy that advised probably the best stable of talent in boxing......so schaeffer was just playing nice with haymon in order to keep the talent around

those in boxing condemned it because it was something they werent used to seeing...they are used to seeing guys with promo contracts to promo companies....what haymon was doing, and is still doing, is a whole different model....it seems to be one that works as most of his fighters seem pretty happy with him....the old guard is used to iron clad contracts inked by fighters to the big promo companies....haymon has it set up where the fighters, at least the top level/most popular ones, can control their event and get more money for themselves...haymon has helped empower fighters and takes care of them....thats why guys like LSC named their kid after him....thats why paul williams still speaks highly of haymon...and others are loyal

boxing was afraid of al haymon...to some degree they still are but i think hes more dug in now and everyone is kinda used to him and how he operates now...but thats why they were skeptical....some people dont like change...haymon changed the way the game is played to a degree
You explain it very clearly and I understand. But, my perspective is different, because for me it's a matter of right and wrong. Yes, Schaefer was keeping things running well, but...whilst doing this, it was not for Oscar's benefit, nor Golden Balls, it was for his projected own and Haymon's benefit. It cannot be denied that Schaefer was diverting new fighters and re-signers to Haymon instead of to where they belonged, to Golden Balls. Nor that it would have ended in Oscar being totally destroyed whilst Schaefer and Haymon gathered in the wreckage and moulded it into a viable business, one which they had prepared and ready.

It was only because Oscar woke up just in time, that Schaefer even offered him that $5 mill.
I have nothing at all against Haymon, don't know him, except that he "advises" fighters for a 15% in a very restrictive contract, a copy of which I once saw, but that's his business, not mine. I don't even know enough about him to blanket comment, although others on this site scatter criticisms and condemnations like hailstones....although tomorrow or the next day, they may change direction.

Let us agree to differ, not harm, this is just a sport we're both interested in. For me a lifelong involvement since childhood.
