Hearn has done a great job in the UK but he doesnt seem to get that its an entirely different market. His persona doesnt work the same in America, all the Sweet Caroline stuff etc doesnt work the same, and boxing itself is not mainstream in the US anymore like it is in the UK. That MSG AJ/Ruiz 1 card that had Katie Taylor, Callum Smith, Josh Kelly, Buatsi etc on it just says it all about his mindset. Not that it was a bad card on paper, but it was basically a strong domestic UK card transplanted in ****ing New York where nobody gives a **** about most of those names.

Not only that, but the only reason that card is even looked at fondly was because Ruiz upset Joshua. If Joshua KO’d him early as most people expected it would have been a garbage night.

Layoffs hit DAZN today - said to number in the dozens, or 2% of global staff. Most of the cuts came in the US and Brazil. DAZN is shifting focus to its coming global service, which translates to fewer employees in NY and Sao Paulo. More tomorrow in SBD Morning Buzz.
That's a blip on the radar for any business during a normal year. The pandemic has forced Exxon into drastic actions, and Exxon was previously world's most valuable company. DAZN laying off 2% of staff 6 months into pandemic is not an event.

ESPN has laid off staff, as have FOX, CNN and every major broadcasting and probably every major company in the world during the pandemic.

However, we have the doomsayers who want DAZN in particular to fail because it does not meet their view of what successful boxing in America looks like.

I guarantee you that if any of these "sky is falling" crowd worked, they would have been laid off from their jobs as they obviously do not have the attitude to succeed.

I kinda like Bradley and Sergio when they are commenting on the fight at hand. Seem to call it like they see it and don’t mind disagreeing with others. I thought Paulie was great. Don’t know all the legit details of his firing. I expect them all to shill for how good their promotion is supposedly doing, but I don’t think they lie when it comes to the in ring comments. That takes extra talent. Maybe one day.

Eddie Hearn is a good guy. Spoke nothing but the truth in kn0bs like Schaeffer, wilder, winkle and ellerbe.

Only reason he had haters is xenophobic racism from ****** trash who don't pay for boxing anyway.

Blaming him because dazn are playing hardball with canelo....good one.
Acting like Al haymon is going to buy dazn.
The investment fund behind pbc is down $600m.
                Have a brain ffs

If you believe Hearn or any other promoter what they say you will be heartbroken.
