Joshua has decent power but a lot of his stoppages are the ref jumping in. You never see him put guys out like Wilder.

And really I don’t think “punchers chance” exists at that level, unless you are truly a freak like Wilder, and even that wasn’t good enough against Fury.

Guys with the IQ of Fury don’t lose to guys with a punchers chance. And considering he does almost everything better than AJ, it’s hard to even say AJ has a punchers chance, especially when he hasn’t got lights out power.

AJ is a good finisher. He just isn’t good enough to do get to that point v Fury.,

I agree fully with all this. Wilder is not a great boxer, but one mistake from Fury and it could be game over. If Fury makes one mistake against Joshua, he might get hit, but it WOULD NOT, be game over.

I'm laying down 10k on Fury and I'm very relaxed about it, if I did that against Wilder, i would not be, because he can spring a massive shot out of nowhere like he did against Ortiz.

It wasnt riveting to watch but its what AJ needed to do to win imo. Styles make fights and the simple fact is AJs chin is not as good as Andys and his hands arent as quick either, so a firefight situation probably always results in the same outcome as the first fight. Joshua was mature enough to concede that, and so used his range and movement to win on points instead. Again..was it fun to watch? not really, but it showed that AJ is a smart fighter who can adapt. He fought in a similar fashion vs Parker too, another guy who has a good chin. I dont think he will use the same gameplan for Pulev, or would for Fury or Wilder.

I would say atleast 50 % of Wilders opponents hit harder than fury. 95% of Wilders opponents were unable to knock him to the floor yet he gets knocked to the floor by a feathered fisted jab. I say AJ has the tools to blast wilder over the ropes and onto the judges table even though Wilder punches harder than AJ. Wilder won the WBC belt and made successive defenders with pratically one hand. He over achieved and you should be proud of his accomplishments but now he should return to basketball

Joshua wasn't supposed to be a defensive genius. He was supposed to be an awesome offensive heavyweight.

The lesson Joshua learned is hardly a new one. Props to him for learning it and coming back as he did though, I had written him off.
I don't see him beating Fury. If Wilder couldn't keep him down in the 12th after catching him with that right and the left hook follow up connecting whilst Fury was falling, head completely unsupported, I don't see what keeps him down except walking right onto a home-run punch. He's too skilled for that I feel. Just get it on. Can't wait until they finally meet!
