He definitely cannot do that in every fight. For example Pulev, he has all the advantage against him, and him dancing would be a no-no. With the Ruiz rematch he knows he couldn't and shouldn't get close to the short guy, and he did what he had to do.

Against a slower guy like Pulev, he can compete with him when it comes to their respective jabs and he is a lot faster with his hands. Like you said you have to adapt your style to each opponents.

All this did was confirmed why he ducked Deontay Wilder!

He knew his recovery is bad when
He’s hurt and holds no advantages in that fight except a better pedigree an technique!

Not faster, not quicker, don’t punch harder and definitely don’t have as much heart!

The Fury Wilder fought in the rematch gets AJ outta there in 6!

If you knew more about boxing then the Wilder fights was easy money it was a mismatch from the start . Anyone betting money on Fury to defeat AJ also tells me they aren’t on my level when it comes to placing bets because that’s another easy pick for me . Fury fought Wilder instead for a reason ,you don’t take less money unless you think it’s a cherr pick or a much easier fight .

Joshua didn't just add a new wrinkle, he was different.

I've witnessed fighters add small changes but never completely morph with no signs of old habits.

People don't give Joshua enough credit because Andy was over weight. The optics were bad but Andy was never tired or slowed down. His hands and combinations were quick but Joshua wasn't there to be hit. Andy took a lot of heat for his appearance but it wasn't as much his weight as it was Joshua's adaptive style.

Andy Ruiz brought out the bitch in Anthony Joshua, that's for sure.

Just look at how he fought the rematch. Compared to all his fights before then.

It wasnt riveting to watch but its what AJ needed to do to win imo. Styles make fights and the simple fact is AJs chin is not as good as Andys and his hands arent as quick either, so a firefight situation probably always results in the same outcome as the first fight. Joshua was mature enough to concede that, and so used his range and movement to win on points instead. Again..was it fun to watch? not really, but it showed that AJ is a smart fighter who can adapt. He fought in a similar fashion vs Parker too, another guy who has a good chin. I dont think he will use the same gameplan for Pulev, or would for Fury or Wilder.

He said he was going to flatten Ruiz in the rematch. He's got Deontayitis - just making it up as he goes along.
Guru Joshua has become a cure for insomnia.

I was predicting that myself pre Aj Ruiz 2. But what we got was even worse... That was pure Johnny never engage Nelson at it's finest.

Yeah and they needed that huge ring which isn't even the usual standard size.
