AJ has fought different/scared since the Wlad fight. he even said himself that he couldnt go through any more fights like that. I suspect the moment someone puts it on him or drops him again he will look for a way out.

You had Ruiz winning the rematch would maybe have something to do with it ? I’m not even sure how someone runs and at the same time lands more punches and power shots ?

I agree. He looked iike he quit in the first fight with Ruiz. then after promising a brutal revenge KO of Ruiz he fought a hit and run safety first type of fight. Before he fought Ruiz I thought he was the best heavyweight in the world. i don't think that anymore.

AJ had speed and reach on the fat out of shape Ruiz who showed up for the rematch. AJ did land more punches than Ruiz but he still did a lot of back peddling. In other words running away and not going forward or trying for the KO of Ruiz that he promised before the fight.

He wasn’t fighting bums, so there would be spurts in fights where he would get caught at championship level. And everyone who watched the Ruiz fight knew he wasn’t right for the fight.

I guess Mayweather was also ***** bcos Maidana almost sparked him and was saved by the bell. And he was almost knocked out by an over-the-hill Shane Mosley.

YDKSAB! And your channel is trash. LMAOOO
Youre a lil bellend that puts people on ignore because they insulted your man crush AJ. Floyd was almost knocked out but he wasnt. Aj has been knocked out by a teletubby embarassingly. Aj went life and death with klitchsko after he was coming off a 2 year lay off and a loss to fury and lost his balls when he could have been undisputed to fight wilder

He didn't look good against Takam or Parker either, and whilst the Povetkin fight was a decent one, even that wasn't without troubles.

At first I looked past it, but I've begun to see a pattern.

Seeing him run around from the fat mexican still is a bit embarrassing imo. Despite him needing to do whatever he needed to do.

Just a bit comical to see such a big guy afraid of exchanging with a small chubby guy.

Where's your confidence in AJ currently?
Depends what you are looking for exactly?

To go in order after the Klitschko fight:

Takam - didn’t perform brilliantly but he did have a late change of opponent with styles completely different and despite a bad performance he still won convincingly and eventually forced a stoppage.

Parker - changed approach and just simply outboxed Parker without putting himself in any danger.

Povetkin - his fights against Povetkin is very under rated. Povetkin is a far better fighter than many like to give him credit for - as proven by his ability to knock out Whyte recently. I thought this was a really good performance.

Ruiz - we all know what happened here, but to begin with he started well and knocked him down, obviously he got caught and people on here don’t like to acknowledge it but any heavyweight can and will lose when they consistently take on top opposition.

Ruiz 2 - a change of approach and showed a boxing masterclass. A very different style approach of course but had fury done that we would’ve all been singing his praise.

I can’t really see what your getting at? Even without the Klitschko & Whyte fights in his CV this run of match ups is clearly the most challenging and he has come on top in all but one of them.

Andy Ruiz completely changed Joshua's style, AJ never used to fight like he did in that rematch with Ruiz.

I think AJ needs to get a couple of fights in to get his confidence back because until recently, he gets gun-shy and panics whenever he gets hit with a good shot.

Where's your confidence in AJ currently?

                  LOL.

At least you have the balls to say you've been on AJs balls this whole time.

What did you ever see in him?

Fundamentally textbook but ordinary. Nothing special. A jab, a 1-2, so basic. He looks jacked, but that doesn't mean anything in an actual fight, and someone who's been here as long as you have should know that.

I always just assumed AJ was hyped by his local fans because they always are trying to hype some local UK talent, crazy people ever thought of him as elite, or unbeatable, or amazing. He doesn't do anything special. I remember seeing him well before his name was ever brought up as a Wlad opponent and back then I said to myself, I don't see the hype at all. Just another stiff boxer from the uk, a dime a dozen.

I agree, AJ should've vastly improved since that fight, and yet he's arguably gone backwards.

I think he'll see his arse against Kronk Fury, claim another panic attack and duck the fight.

On the flip side I would argue he has shown has ability to adapt his style to the opponent in a different way. Was he gun shy or panic in that rematch - not at all. He outboxed Ruiz and chose not to change approach given he was winning the fight.

Go through fury’s last 5/6 fights and compare to AJ and show me how fury has looked a better fighter on aggregrate. You will struggle.
