So they're trying to force it now that Shawn took out the IBO Welterweight Champion with ease.

It's like I told people months ago, the IBO and the WBO are aligned, so that fight was positioning to force this fight. Had Formella won, he would have been the mando.
If he is the mandatory then that is definitely a game changer. I don't know if the negotiations with Brooks are still ongoing with Crawford but if not, then Al Haymon should start a purse bid.

Yeah but...that's foul on Porter. Remember this?

And everyone said Keef was ducking when he said it. Let's see how the reaction is with Crawford

crawford beats the breaks off the whole top 5. that's why you won't see any of this fights. why is ugas fighting for a wba baby belt when he has history with crawford. gb isn't trying to ruin ortiz. porter is just a booster. worst generation of boxer ever! keef should be in the top 10 flute player rankings.

I'm disappointed that Crawford's fans are silent about this big news.

Porter/Haymon have more chance of passing the mandatory up than Crawford

If it goes to purse bids, Porter gets 25% split of the purse, Crawford 75%. And Haymon will need to bid big to outbid Top Rank, so forget about the ‘unofficial purses’ also

I highly doubt Porter would take 25% for a fight like this

Unless Porter is like, Spence is busy and Manny is chasing McGregor, that only leaves one belt left, and Al Haymon pays him big on the sly to own 147.

I just find it funny that not a few months ago NONE of these guys were ranked on WBO, only Swift. Now Swift is completely gone and it's all the people that recently said they wanted the smoke, except Mikey.

                That's mighty funny

But what you’re saying, is that Haymon will pay big bucks to win the purse bud, and then spend even more big bucks to pay Porter on the side just to top up Porters purse... all for a fight that Porter would not be the favourite in

Makes no promotional or financial sense. No promoter is willing to pay right now, not even DAZN with their crazy cash pile. As much as I like Porter, he’s not a superstar worth all of that investment

Spence/Crawford is a super fight down the line. He’ll generate more money from that even at 50%, without breaking the bank. That being said, don’t find Pacquiao/Porter to be a surprising announcement

The thing is, Porter WOULD be the favorite. Especially fresh off the Formella performance. A 12-0 blowout of the-then undefeated IBO Welterweight Champion.

Had Crawford not gotten two-pieced, wobbled and dropped by Kavaliauskas, I would have said otherwise. But Crawford is clearly declining.

Yea in those cases they try and come to an agreement before getting to the point of the actual purse bid once ordered!
