I'm not sure if it's pride, the managers acting like divas or what but it seems like everything has been a sticking point in negotiations for this fight.

Higgins comes off as delusional and difficult in most instances but I think he may have met his match with Fa's manager Mark Keddell. Last week Keddell said the money was settled and the only potential sticking point left would be the sanctioning body for the fight. Fa's team wanted it to be Boxing New Zealand (as opposed to the WBO I would imagine).

Now the it's the selection of gloves, both fighters should be able to decide their own gloves. Keddell trying to force Fa's choice of gloves on Parker sounds like they want to win every sticking point for pride and/or they don't really want the fight.

Fa never wanted the fight ,before it was out pricing himself ow this . When one complains about gloves now it’s almost a guaranteed win for Parker, Fa is not mentally ready.

Not a surprise. Parker could already be lined up for a big fight if he was not wasting his time on this prospect. No one outside NZ cares anyway, move on.

Team Povetkin did the exact same thing to Dillian Whyte before their bout; They checked and examine his gloves too. I just love it. They are going to clean this dirty sport up just yet
What do you mean now it's become the new protocol? This has been a rule in pro boxing for years.
Remember when Shane Mosley trainer ****m Richardson saw the plaster powder on Margarito's gloves while they were being wrapped?

No, ****m Richardson was only checking the handwraps for illegal objects like plaster of Paris; Something that Team Wilder and other opposing corners are allowed to do. He never examined or inspected the actual gloves themselves.

However, Team Povetkin and Team Fa have gone a step further. They went to examine and inspect the actual gloves of their opponents themselves.

For example; Team Povetkin actually chose and checked Dillian Whyte's gloves for him right after the weigh in and then tried them on for themselves. Moreover, they made the officials to ensure them that Whyte would wear those exact same gloves on fight night.

It's obvious they were influenced by those Deontay Wilder fan videos on social media exposing Tyson Fury as a glove cheat; With his gloves being only partially and halfway on his hands in Wilder/Fury I and then with those very dented and padless looking gloves he wore in the Wilder rematch. Which probably explains how he generated so much power overnight.

Deontay Wilder fans have the entire boxing establishment shook and spooked outta their Goddamn minds. There must be a ring or element of truth in what they are saying because now the entire boxing world is taking notice of what they have been trying to show us.

They have a set a new standard and protocol for boxing; Especially in the Heavyweight division. Now they got fighters and their handlers very curious and su****ious about the type and brand of gloves their opponents wear to the ring.

It's very interesting because Joseph Parker has never been accused of glove tampering or being a glove cheat.
