Yeah, I remember that. You're right. It's Money May who gets the credit for glove inspections and examinations. He was the pioneer on the types and brands of gloves that a fighter could use in the state of Nevada.

For example; The Nevada State Athletic Commission have banned those Everlast MX brand of gloves because they were deemed too thin and therefore illegal. Mayweather's contributions to fighters health and safety cannot be underestimated.

He was the one who implemented random drug testing and also glove inspections in boxing.

If both brand of gloves are legal let each boxer fight with the glove brand he likes. Anyone who does not agree to that doesn't really want to fight his potential opponent very much.
