So, Judah was winning the fight for four rounds, and made a CONSCIOUS decision to just stop throwing and decided to give the fight away. Because, you know, winning is overrated.

The reality is that Floyd ate his best punches and still came forward. Floyd got the timing of zab's punches and was countering. Floyd started hitting Zab's body. Floyd stepped INSIDE of zab's range and was giving Zab 'happy feet'. I can go on and on.

And floyd has teh type of style where it hardly matters what weight he is at. He doesnt stand and trade. The only effect of going up in weight is a very slight decrease in hand speed, but its made up for with a very slight increase in power.

Ill say it right now, If baldy beats mayweather convincingly, he deserves all the credit he gains from it.

ANd i think it could be hella good for boxing. It would win an ESPY or something.

Floyd losing wouldnt be the end of him. hes still in his prime and his prime is gonna last a while.
Let me just point this out:

Nor Baldomir or Floyd are proven at 147. Baldomir is not proven in the sense that he hasn't beat the best 147 lber yet....or someone near it.

Simply because Judah held the Welterweight title....didin't mean he was the best welterweight. Far from it.

The winner of this fight, should fight Antonio Margarito for the Welterweight Championship.

Tony is perhaps the best welterweight next to Floyd....yet all three of them are Unproven.

        Unproven.

I would pick Baldomir in an upset against Floyd no doubt.

Knives is right. All three guys are unproven @ 147.

Margarito, Mayweather jr and Baldo. These guys have to fight each other sometime. Judah wasnt the best. IMO , Margarito is right now.

You guys have to start giving Baldo some credit. The man can fight. He's not flashy or anything but one thing he knows how to do is fight.

I read boxingscene predictions, and boxing talk predictions- most anything "professional" writers and fans put out by way of predicting the outcome of a fight. Before the Tarver fight....almost everyone was saying either Bernard was in trouble because Tarver was too big or that'd he'd have to be super crafty and he'd slide to a 12 round unanimous desicion. Wrong. Bernard came at him like a spider monkey. How about the recent Rahman fight? Only one writer on all the sites I saw said Maskaev could win- everyone had Rahman but KO...or UD. What happened?

Point being is only two men can really predict the outcome of the fight, if that. They are the only ones fighting...and the amount of off-target predictions made before fights on these forums, and by boxing journalists, is insane. Baldomir may win by KO. Floyd may knock Baldomir through the ropes. We can make logical assumptions on what is likely to happen- and how neither of those outcomes seems possible- but we never know for sure. Strange things can happen in boxing. For all we know, as unlikely as it is, maybe this will be fight of the year. I understand the logic saying no, but look at recent history- no one is ever truly sure what will happen in these big fights.

We just make well informed guesses- and a guess is a guess.

i disagree, nearly ever website or article i read about the tarver/hopkins fight said that hopkins was gonna pull off the upset. A lot of people here predicted it as well, myself included. I agree however, with ur rahman-maskaev point, and ur general point overall. great post

Thanks, but like I said the only people I read on these websites picking Hopkins it was by UD not KO or TKO.

WORD??? I USUALLY AGREE WITH YOU BUT I DON'T KNOW. BALDOMIR IS NOT TAKIN ANY PRISONERS LATELY, AND HE APPLIES EFFECTIVE FORWARD AGRESSION. I THINK FLOYD WONT BE ABLE TO HURT BALDY, THEREFOR, WONT BE ABLE TO DISCOURAGE HIM FROM ATTACKING, THE QUESTION WILL BE CAN FLOYD AVOID GETTING KNOCKED OUT, I REALLY THINK BALDY IS GOING TO ROCK HIM
