Why is Crawford not held to the same standard as other 'P4P' fighters?

Those who've been on here for long enough will know I've always been critical of Crawford, I've never seen him as a P4P type of fighter, simply because he has never proven himself against top level guys.

I'm not denying that Crawford is a skilled fighter, but how much longer is he going to get 'eye test points' instead of actually proving himself against real top dogs, like previous and current P4P fighters have?

There are multiple guys with less than 20 fights who have better resumes and have accomplished more than Crawford, yet they get little recognition.

This 'nobody wants to fight him' narrative is boring and only casuals run with that BS, like when it was happening with Golovkin who was constantly shat on. Fighters will fight ANYONE if you put up the money and that's facts. So lets stop blaming other fighters and start looking and Crawford and his team for simply not attempting to get big fights for him.

I dont think Crawford gets it done.

Hes already 32 so hes declining or damn close to it. That means hes already past his peak and look at thr field at 147,154, and 160.

Not a lot of big names left either. Only Pac is left and everyone knows that everyone is trying their best to cherry pick him.

He also probably won't face the guys coming up from 140 either because those will be more dangerous than moving up.

Reminds me a lot of Mikey Garcia. Lots of talk about legacy but we all know its for the money. Even Crawford says its all about the money.

I agree that Crawford passes the eyeball test but he is unproven at the top level. They have not even done an effort to get another top WW and refuse to compromise in anyway. He thinks that he worth more than others and that is far from the truth.

I don't see him talking a lot of **** and he doesn't seem unlikeable to me. Mad trash talkers bring more heat on themselves.

I think lately he is being held accountable for fighting poor title challengers fight after fight. I don't hear anymore talk about Spence not wanting Crawford's smoke because Spence is fighting champions and top guys every fight while Crawford fights washed up Englishmen Khan and very likely Brook next. I have lowered him to near the bottom of my own pfp top 10 below Spence because it has been so long since he fought a good fighter that I don't even know how good he is now. I used to stick up for him but when he would not even consider fighting Porter and will likely fight Brook I gave up on him.Apparently he plans to keep cherry picking and keep winning until he retires.

If he fights Brook or Thurman then he should be held to that same standard. Both are garbage and just there for a big last payday. One is coming off wins by fighting bums and the other is coming off a L. Their biggest win combined was like 4 years ago.

I like Crawford but apparently Loma and him are 1-2 interchangeable P4P and people complain about Loma’s resume?

Hasn’t he cleaned out 2 divisions and is a champion in his 3rd division?

That's true in a way, nor does he gets offers big paydays by rivals and then turn it down. I mean if he was offered his highest payday and he turns it down, can you imagine the hate he would get from the same people who actually defend the PBC boxers who turn massive offers down?
