Whyte should take some time off. He got unplugged.
Does Dillian Whyte need to rebuild? Or jump straight back on the horse?

It was his 5th PPV headliner.
1st was against AJ in a British title fight.
2nd vs Parker.
3rd vs Chisora-2.
4th vs Rivas.Comment

He has nowhere to go, no title fights, nothing else. His best bet would be to regain his "interim title" and either hope the champion vacates or wait for his next eliminator. Besides, there aren't many PPV fights to be made that are easier to win. Whyte vs Dubois or Ortiz or Ruiz Jr will be even more dangerous than a Povetkin fight and there are only so many times you can fight Chisora. Nobody watches that.
Basically, all PPV fights will be dangerous for Whyte.Comment

Whyte is in a similar position to Joshua after Ruiz and Wilder after Fury - he needs to rematch immediately because a win brings him straight back to the top while waiting would fester against his reputation and hinder future opportunities.
Infact he may never get the chance to take on Povetkin again given his age.
That said, is Whyte still one of the most dangerous fighters? Yes, he nearly did beat Povetkin, he has beaten Rivas, Parker and Chisora twice. He also put a good fight against Joshua who many believe is the #1 in the division (I know others think fury before the trolls in particular start shouting).
This result, very much like Joshua Ruiz 1, adds a spanner in the works which actually is only good for the sport in general.
The real question is for me how he deals with the pressure coming back as his career is much more on the line now and I’m very much looking forward to that answer, in the mean time this will make the top10 heavyweight ranking opinions of many more mixed than ever.Comment
