Hopefully it doesn't happen and we can watch Fury put Whyte in hospital before the AJ fight.
FURY TO Wilder: I'm not going to wait forever
Collapse

The contract said the rematch had to happen by July this year. But of course, that wasn't possible because of the Covid outbreak. I don't think they would have rewritten and resigned the contract with a new deadline, so it's possible that Fury is now free to move on and fight somebody else.
I hope that's what happens. Wilder and his team have been blocking the unification of the HW division for way too long now.Comment

Fury and Warren are just trying to set the table so that they can get another bum in there to fight as a stay busy fight. All while steering clear of the Whyte mandatory. But it won't work. They are contractually tied to Wilder and after that they are bound to fighting Whyte, or getting stripped, or vacating. So what will they do? Make a lot of noise of course and try to get out of it. That's what chumps do, not champs. And Fury is nothing more than a steroid cheating con man who has never defended a belt. Now that he has one belt back, he thinks he's Canelo or something and that he can fight whoever. Not true. And he will look like the coward he is, if/when he trashes the belt Rid**** Bowe style.Last edited by Tyistall; 08-20-2020, 07:39 AM.Comment

There's nothing to be gained and everything to be lost by giving Wilder yet another chance to land a lucky swing on Fury's chin. If the Duck Squad get the WBC title back, plus Fury's lineal, there's every chance they will go back to doing what they do best ... lying, ducking unification fights, and blaming everybody else.Comment

Agreed that the Wilder rematch is a far more dangerous fight for Fury than fighting Whyte. There's nothing to be gained and everything to be lost by giving Wilder yet another chance to land a lucky swing on Fury's chin. If the Duck Squad get the WBC title back, plus Fury's lineal, there's every chance they will go back to doing what they do best ... lying, ducking unification fights, and blaming everybody else.
Wilder would put Whyte to sleep in 6 rounds btw, perhaps less.Comment

Fury would beat Whyte easily if he maintained distance and boxed him, at least for the first 8/9 rounds. I would would pick Dillian to KO Wilder, now that Deontay's self belief and intimidation aura has been shattered by Fury.Comment

At some point Wilder would land that hammer on him, Whyte lacks the footwork and boxing skills to do what Fury did.
Dillian would try and walk him down and get splattered in the process.
Whyte wouldn't win a single minute of a single round against Tyson.

Guessing how fights against Wilder will go are pretty pointless at the moment.
He could be an absolute shell after such a beating. His image (or aura) was so important to him. Now he's just a skinny legged guy with limited skills who got battered last time out.
He could be completely done for.Comment

Also, am I the only one that noticed Fury saying "there are other bums" to fight? Meaning he will go back to fighting the Sefari, Schwarz, Wallin and Pianeta types? And if he does, will you idiots praise him just like you praised Wilder for doing that for years?Comment
