GGG's a mean SOB. He doesn't quit or lay down for no one. He's never broken or discouraged. On the other hand, Kov does because he is soft.

He lacks both the confidence, life and fighting spirit of Golovkin. Once he can no longer have his way he often gets frustrated, shuts down and then becomes a broken fighter.

      I already answered your question.

I would have picked Derevyanchenko to beat Kovalev at that point. Especially with the weight issues and quick turnaround between fights for Kovalev. Either by stoppage or decision. Kovalev was on his way out when Canelo picked him.

It's not a good win to me at all and that's the whole point of your thread. To legitimize it as a good win. Nothing else needs to be said.

You guys shouldn’t go for the bait.

So if Devry would have beaten Kovalev then it means he would’ve done 175, “ducked” the other Champions, or “ultimately cherry picked” the Krusher... ok. So if Devry had beaten Kovalev and vacated, you guys would hold him accountable like Canelo right?

LMAO. Guess what!? Canelo beat the Krusher and Devry decided sloppy thirds from Canelo. Canelo helped Devry survive GGG because Ward helped Canelo with Krusher right? Like ball sacks define longevity or Lennox Lewis taking KO shots long ago means “over the hill.”

Yeah man crack is a no no drug.

Cotto was honestly old and past him prime too. He was 35 and his previous five fights before Canelo were:

          1. L to Mayweather
          2. L to Trout
          3. W vs Delvin Rodriguez (nothing special)
          4. W vs Sergio Martinez (old, inactive, coming off knee surgeries)
          5. W vs Daniel Geale (nothing special, and at a catchweight)

I think Dervy would beat the hell out of Kovalev and knock him out at 175. Kovalev is clearly washed up and Dervy is clearly still near prime. Kovalev is done. He will never beat a top 10 opponent again. Wait and see. Hell, he may never fight again at all. Dervy fights for a title next month but no news about Kovalev at all.

Canelo could have fought one of the three undefeated light heavyweight champs. instead he insisted on only twice KOed Kovalev. I think we all know why he chose only Kovalev. And that's all she wrote!

Because no one has heard of those other 3. Kovalov at least is going to be in the Boxing HOFame
