... Braekhus really is old... she's still good but very old...

Braekhus was already thinking about retiring when she got with Abel Sanchez so the writing was on the wall imo, Abel's style of training isn't good for older veteran fighters.. I didn't see the fight but it's totally possible Braekhus had over trained for the fight which is very easy to do at an older age as well... Either rematch then hang em up or just go ahead and hang em up now she accomplished all there is to accomplish really...

Floyd would likely lose like this as well if he came back to box professionally, an he knows this. That's why you don't see him tryin to come back an fight for real.

How much cleaner does she have to be?

Braekhus was the one initiating the clinches or pushing McCaskill’s head down to keep her off of her cuz Jessica was slipping the jabs and coming up an over the top with no look hooks and hitting Cecilia with it over an over!

I know Braekhus is attractive but this isn’t about looks, it’s about who wanted it more and who did more quality work an that was simply McCaskill, no if’s, ands or but’s!
No look hooks? We're turning blind swings into an art form?

Without looking at any stats I'd say Macaskill landed more punches in the first four rounds... because she threw constantly. If you give those rounds to her I don't have any great issue. Personally I wouldn't have.

From that point though she wasn't landing anywhere near at the same rate. Breakhus took over and the fight at a better distance for her.

I saw it as close, but hard to score.

Golovkin, Joe Joyce, Gassiev and now Braekhus all being effected by Abel Sanchez training methods now. He puts too much emphasis on conditioning so by the time of fight night they've left most of it in the gym.

Too much high altitude training can be detrimental. Or so I hear.

Crappy fight. Braekhus fights with no passion and her style is very stiff and robotic like a Lennox Lewis or Wlad Klitschko. I don't feel McCaskill did enough to take the titles, but boxing now seems to be more about feel good stories than actual achievement. Delphine Persoon has to realize that she needs a stoppage next weekend to leave the ring with her hand raised.

I'd pick Braekhus to win a rematch. Should be an easy fight if she used her size advantage but she let McCaskill make it rough and tumble.
