Let's not forget the politics of boxing and that no one in the US watches DAZN. Wilders team doesn't go for flat purses in a PPV fight, they want a certain percentage. And there was no guarantee of an AJ fight from Team Joshua, only from DAZN. How's that working for the Canelo vs GGG 3 fight?

The elephant in the room is that the guy who wrote the article has been known to get very important facts wrong AND to have agendas contrary to objective journalism.
So, when he says Wilder would have gotten two fights from DAZN for 40 million each against whomever DAZN could get in the event AJ lost (which he did, to Ruiz) that is in direct contradiction to reports at the time which said both fighters had to win their interim fight for the deal to kick in, for the two 40 million dollar fights to kick in.
Wilder would not have had ANY fight on DAZN for 40 million because the AJ loss would have made the rest of the contract moot...at least that is what was reported at the time.
But, of course, that's another thing Hauser does...sit on a story for months, then come out with a revisionist history version that fits whatever aim of those who pay him.
Take this article the way you should take most of what Hauser writes...as interesting fan fiction.Comment

He’s clearly not ******, or at least his team isn’t.Comment

if Joshua lost or was otherwise unavailable to fight Wilder, Deontay would have received a $40 million purse from DAZN to fight the best (in terms of marketability and skill) available opponent in each of his next two fights.
haha remember when all the wilder idiots said wilder wouldn't have gotten the 100 million if joshua lost? liars liars liars just making things up to protect the ducking fraudComment
