They would’ve had clauses that changed the deal if wilder went through a loss or a drop in star power.
It’s not as black and white as in.. “here’s 100m.. take it or leave it!”

Yeah it was a good deal. And he would’ve made good bank. But it’s not like he could be knocked out every time and get paid the same

Haymon and wilder and finkel knew wilder has no chance at all vs AJ and that's why they ducked it.

I'll sum up this long article for you.

Wilder thought his fixers would fix his entire career but they didn't have the money to buy off Fury a second time. They had to fight Fury 2 because the breazeale and ortiz fights were busts. Now it's all over for Wilder. Everybody knows he was a bum in disguise.

        I'm too ***y for

Right now Black lives matter would've said Wilder's outfits are racist and also DAZN and call it slavery and riot burn down the arena and protest all the fights, well I think they're still might do it

The elephant in the room is that the guy who wrote the article has been known to get very important facts wrong AND to have agendas contrary to objective journalism.

So, when he says Wilder would have gotten two fights from DAZN for 40 million each against whomever DAZN could get in the event AJ lost (which he did, to Ruiz) that is in direct contradiction to reports at the time which said both fighters had to win their interim fight for the deal to kick in, for the two 40 million dollar fights to kick in.

Wilder would not have had ANY fight on DAZN for 40 million because the AJ loss would have made the rest of the contract moot...at least that is what was reported at the time.

But, of course, that's another thing Hauser does...sit on a story for months, then come out with a revisionist history version that fits whatever aim of those who pay him.

Take this article the way you should take most of what Hauser writes...as interesting fan fiction.

              Interesting piece.
Personally i think you take the 100 but thing's aren't as black & white as they seem.
For a start Skipper himself said we got the Wilder offer wrong in interview's. Also from what i understand Aj doesn't have a dazn contract, matchroom does. So unlike when jacobs got his dazn contract he had canelo written in it. Ggg didn't. The same goes with Wilder Aj. Aj wasn't written in it.
              Still, you take the hundred.
The last year Fury 57mill Aj 47mill Wilder 46.5 mill. I don't think they're hurting & we wouldn't have had Fury at the top.
              Plus Aj won't fight Wilder until he's 38 & over 🤫

exactly - my point entirely in the previous post to yours. Wilder - he is a world level HW with a devastating punch and some character, mostly the ability to screech bombsquad! very loudly.

He has had a very successful career until now - world champ and closing in on $100 million earnings - probably has 25 million in the bank after taxes and expenses. Not something I'd ever turn down.

Wilder made half the money he wouldve made if he went to DAZN. Wilder said he didnt sign because he bet on himself.

Hey Deontay, you lost the bet XD XD XD

                    Good analysis

We already knew that Wilder was one of the dumbest athletes in the world, which says a lot, considering how ****** most of them are. More evidence of that here!
