As I posted in another thread, Bob Arum is going to take this very personal and will punish and bury Teofimo if he doesn't take this Loma fight. Remember what happened to Rigo after he beat Donaire...yeah expect the same treatment for Teofimo with Arum running around telling the world "Teofimo Is Afraid Of Loma". Arum also will not even bother to try and make bigger fights outside of Top Rank For him either so it is a very risky stand from Teofimo and his team.

Hopefully something gets worked out and the fight goes on

1.2 is good money...but after taxes and fees and camp....its not that much for a risky fight this early in his career...he can make that over the next 2 years fighting guys of way less pedigree and ability of loma.....and still be only 25 when its all done.....youve got to make it worth his while

he sees tank and lsc going to ppv....and loma is supposed to be a big star and a staple of the espn boxing program

basically bob is being cheap like he always is.....this is the same guy that lost floyd over 6 million in future guarantees over 2 fights...and said he wouldnt do the oscar/floyd fight because it wouldnt sell and hed lose money on it.....

But this is the thing though....Teofimo was the one BEGGING/DEMANDING that he's not too young and he's ready and to make the fight happen with loma. So now it gets made and he wants more.

I kind of want to touch on what Arum said about trying to get the most amount of viewers possible by putting this on regular ESPN.

This would definitely be in front of millions of viewers. Is that kid really this dumb? Does he not realize that his popularity, his exposure, is going to rise exponentially? And if he beats Loma, then he's going to be the man of 2020 and 2021. I mean, how thick is this kid?

From the way I'm looking at it now, he either is as dumb as a rock or he had no intention of ever fighting Vasyl because he was all about riding Lomachenko's coattails to get a title shot with Commey.

If you think about it, the majority of the trash talking has been going on since COVID-19, when he was under the false belief that the fight was done. As soon as he heard Lomachenko was back in his home country, the trash talking went into overdrive.

This is pretty pathetic. This is the equivalent of badmouthing someone, then finding out he's standing right behind you, and you make a run for it.
