It's a 65/35 split which is fair given their drawing ability. Arum is holding up anything. Teofimo's balls shrevilled up in to a ****** and he pulled a Nomaschenko before the bell rung.

Totally agree. Boxing is a business and I'm sure Top Rank and ESPN have done their homework to determine the drawing power and future profitability of Lopez, win or lose. They arrived at a number that makes sense for them. I support their decision to continue to be a profitable business. They've been a successful promotional company for decades based on how they've conducted themselves, unlike others who threw out insane amounts of money and can no longer pay their contracted fighters to fight.

In my opinion, ******** is never "smart," unless you have complete control over the outcome. Granted, boxing is a gamble every time you step in the ring (especially if you let it go to the judges). But the more variables you have in a gamble, variables one cannot account for or have control over; an "easy" mandatory or opponent, Vasyl sticking around/not losing, COVID-19 becoming COVID-20 and COVID-21, a greater economic downturn in an already big economic downturn—it's a "******" gamble.

Basically, this is the equivalent of seeing the economy tank, stocks plummeting, and you have a chance to sell before it gets worse; yet, you don't sell and hold on to your soon to be junk stock. This is that situation. And given other sports are coming back, there's going to be greater competition. Right now, ESPN is doing badly because you have non-competitive bouts. But given that Boxing is one of the few sports in town still, it's ideal, to be honest.

Also, it's possible that the pubic aren't going to be so interested in this fight a year or more from now. Maybe people have had enough of Teofimo and "his starving family."

teo has a manager...his manager thinks, all things considered, his guy is worth more than that for this fight....and like I said "all things considered" meaning hes very likely taken into consideration the current climate.....

maybe its a bad move...but it doesnt mean his balls shrunk....hes done his part to sell the fight....and dont think hes second guessing the actual fight itself one bit....
