Hearn offered Davis $5 mil to fight Farmer. Farmer wanted half of what Davis was making, at 2.5 mil. Hearn bolted and demoted Farmer.

Loma Davis on PPV would net a lot of money without a crowd.

The whole world is going into a recession, lad. The U.S. have just stopped unemployment benefits for who knows how long? Whilst unemployment numbers are up and always rising. The place is going into a state of emergency. And you think making this fight PPV solves all the issues? Come back to reality. The fight doesn't look like it will be PPV, and Teofimo will not make the money he has been offered elsewhere. If he turns this down he will go and fight whoever else for a fraction.

This is why I don’t **** with current scene fans and am losing interest in modern boxing. It’s easy to know what certain users will say on any subject and it’s easy to predict a duck. I said a year ago Teo was all talk and would quack. Disappointed to lose this fight (which really wouldnt have been competitive) but happy to have been proven right. Yet it’s the guy (Loma) taking the paycut who’s being criticized when the other guy who’s accomplished almost nothing is getting more than double his highest payday is the one walking away? LMAO.

Thing is I don't even really hold it against fighters for trying to get the most they can - without a formal pay structure across the sport this is what you're gonna get, but equally I ain't gonna have huge sympathy for a dude who complains afterward if they roll the dice and end up not getting their shot because of it.

In this case my personal feeling is that about 2:1 in favour of Loma seems about reasonable but at the end of the day Teo isn't in the driving seat here. His strap brings him some leverage, but maybe not as much as he thinks, specially since hell be too big for it real soon anyway so Loma will likely get to fight the next incumbent if he just waits.

Exactly.......He has an awesome opportunity. The road is clear.

Take the ''short'' $ now, beat that ass, then name your price.

Lopez got to Commey's chin first. I would have loved to see what would have become of him if the opposite had happened.

Most probably we would not be here talking about Lomachenko.

I know one article called the 3.25 million agreed to a "concession" as if he was going to get more but, if I am not mistaken, 3.25 million is also a career high purse for Loma.

Can you name a fight where Loma was guaranteed more than 3.25 million?

Or point out a contract clause that stipulates he is supposed to get more?

'Cause if you can't, it's not a concession or paycut on Loma's part.

All of you talking about Teo being greedy need to explain to me how a career high purse for Lomachenko equals him taking a "paycut".
