Buggy Bear, I was not a professional boxer.

That story was just a made up example, to convey my angst with certain people's attitudes towards boxers 'Your post was level headed and grounded' nothing wrong with that.

Well I think it would just be interesting to see Oscar Da La Hoya train 'I would enjoy a documentary, 24/7 styled epic documenting his comeback' maybe his wife is against it? Get it all on tape, that would be awesome.

Your done Oscar, stay retired and try and stay sober, that's the fight you should focus on. That stuff has taken a toll on an already damaged body only gonna look worse.

Just forget it man it went over his head lol.

          I'm with you 100%.

It's crazy so called "boxing fans" want to tear down past greats who want to come back. It's the type of thing that fires me up as both a fighter and person. It's inspiring. Instead of encouragement you get ugly remarks that are really uncalled for. Some day some of these young posters will be 50 and hopefully won't be some pathetic out of shape loser who gave up on life years ago when it happens.

The human body is capable of remarkable things, and the human mind is capable of even more so. With sports knowledge and nutrition and genetic discoveries, I don't think it's ludicrous at all that an ex pro athlete wants to mount a comeback and wants to compete. That's what the competitor spirit should drive you to do. Don't let age dictate how you live your life, take control of your life and do what you want with it.

Tyson, Holyfield, Oscar, I will be rooting for all of them. B-Hop showed it can be done, now show us it can be taken even further and to a next level. I'm excited to see what they all can do. I'll never be the man to tell another man he can't do something. I'm the man to cheer you on.

What weight is Oscar gonna attempt a fight at? I dont think he could possibly make 147 and probably not 154 so I'm guessing a shot at 160 would be where he's gonna go for it.

It is also the journey and adventure in life that is really what people yearn for 'It is not really about the end product'. That is why I have stated 'If Oscar De La Hoya, wants to train again? It should for sure be made into a documentary.

When a former Olympic Champion, multi world boxing champion and American sporting legend suddenly decides at the age of 47 years of age? That there is something left in the basement 'That is theatre LoadingWraps, that is Broadway'.

How will his family react to this? His former peers? How will he deal with the daily grind? It would be a very interesting watch.

Fighting and sparring at age 47 is a great recipe for CTE.

He already has it, after being hammered all over the ring by Manny Pacquiao 12 years ago.

I think if he pursues a comeback he will fight Conor McGregor. I know if I was Oscar that's exactly who I'd be targeting at least.
